'Joseph Corré and Serena Rees opened the first Agent Provocateur shop in December 1994, arousing a media frenzy usually reserved for superstars. The response was both exceptional and overwhelming! '

What the Company 'Agent Provocateur' wanted to provide with their new line was sensual and erotic lingerie that was both tasteful and sexy, trying to put across to the British public that sex doesn't need to be seen as sleazy, instead they wanted their new vision and foray into the world of exotic underwear to be seen as highly erotic, enchanting and stimulating to the wearer and their lovers. Their aim with their new lingerie line was to provide items that were exciting, evocative and stimulating giving woman a new found confidence and sexuality. Their marketing and advertising captured the British public's imagination immediately and their new Company was a resounding success and it soon took off to branch out into the USA, Middle East, Russia, Hong Kong and Europe.

The key to their success is purely instinctual in the products that they offer. They are creative in the design of their lingerie creating products that are visually pleasing, erotic and beautiful, and they are not swayed in their vision to run with current trends dictated by market forces instead they offer an individual, intimate and personal experience to their customer. Now in their thirteenth year of trading their company image gives forth credibility, luxury and quality. What they managed to do was to bring the importance of lingerie straight into the fashion world. Agent Provocateur has a brilliant mail order catalogue service and they now offer many products alongside their initial lingerie line.-


---THE AGENT PROVOCATEUR AWARD WINNING WEBSITE---
On entering the Agent Provocateur Website I am greeted by a delicious array of women's lingerie tastefully yet erotically shown in collages upon a black background. What I like about the first impression of the Website is not only is it very tastefully done but also it has a mysterious appearance with the black page and erotic pictures. Across the top of the page you have the name Agent Provocateur written in pale pink writing against the black background. To the top of the page you have a simple search bar of: Search by shop - Or item. Sign in, if you are a member and checkout basket.

Running down the left hand side of the page you have several options and the first one is: Home. Where they state there is free delivery on every order over £25.00. Also highlighted is the fact that they have a new collection, and featuring also that they have a 'Classic' collection of timeless lingerie. An inspired collection of favourite's .This is displayed upon an intimate back picture in large close-up of a man and woman in suggestive pose.

---SHOP ONLINE---
Displayed here is the Agent Provocateur range. The images shown are provocative like their Company name and the pictures of the women models are highly erotic. The initial impression is that of intimacy and the small pictures show bodies of women wearing the lines which are for sale. Shown are: Bras - Knickers - Suspender Belts - Corsetry - Nightwear - Hosiery - Gloves - Pasties - Swimwear - Garters - Shoes - Masks - Perfumes - Beauty Products - Massage Oils - Candles -Books -E -Vouchers - Catalogue - Music - Whips -. The lingerie range is beautiful and the products are really fun and exciting and I have already seen loads of things that I would like. So the first thing that I think I will be doing is sending off for a catalogue and treating myself... and my partner. :)

This has a drop box which first displays: 'New Collections' and featured here, as an example I will give, is 'Carolina' which is their new feisty punk range of leopard print in green and black. Carolina is made of semi sheer silk with detail of burgundy silk bows and a small rose centre motif. The bra size is from 32A-36DD.- The Brief size is from X-Small - Large.- There are further dropdowns which are all delightful and are given the names of girls pertaining to the individual collections. There are: Cherry - Bridget - Cheryl - Lucie - Natasha - Marie - Kitty - Holly - and all collections are totally individual in design and made with the loveliest materials. I particularly liked for myself: Bridget; which is absolutely gorgeous! It is then sub-sectioned again with: L.A Ranges - Manor Ranges - Paris Ranges - Accessories - Hosiery - Maternity - Footwear -Classic Ranges -Swimwear - Beauty - AP Party - AP Magazine - Club AP -Store Finder - Send An E-Card - This really is a huge site and there is so much information here and so many stock ranges. Each section range has a drop down box which displays by girls names the various lingerie collections, and there are far too many for me to mention here. Suffice to say their range is extensive. -

---PERFUME---

-- Agent Provocateur--
Agent Provocateur also has their own perfume. In 2000 they introduced their signature scent which was simply called 'Agent Provocateur'- This is a highly sensual perfume and is supposed to drive men wild! It is actually lovely and I have a 50ml bottle of this myself. It is not cheap however and a 100 ml size will set you back £66.00. But it is quite a stunning fragrance and I think you pay for what you get basically.

--- Eau Emotionnelle ---
They have a second fragrance to their name now which is Agent Provocateur 'Eau Emotionnelle' it is known as the original's "charming sister", and it a fresh and mildly fruity fragrance with a hint if spiciness, and being suitable for 'office wear' ; being a lot blander than the original Agent Provocateur and a lot less sexy. -

---AP Party Room---
This is great and I had a lot of fun with this. You are taken to an invitation link to the private party which shows a mild bondage movie being shot by the models and a lot of frolicking going on. They then beckon you to enter the party and once inside it is a little like a playboy mansion party with lots of woman, again in provocative pose and various states of undress modelling swim wear and lingerie. You are given a private cloakroom and when you choose an item from the model you wish to buy, you drag said item off the model and deposit in your cloakroom ready for collection, when you leave the section via the checkout. The models are all wearing various degrees of bondage gear plus the Agent Provocateur lingerie and when you scroll across the top bar it reveals a very long and continuous picture of the party scene. Whilst scrolling and when you hover over certain groups of models a pink star will appear and this then turns into a video clip with the models acting out the portrayed scene. This is great fun and although the theme is bondage, it is all done very tastefully.

---PEEP IN PARIS---
This is a fun free game which has various levels and again running with the theme of sex you have to peep in windows and click on them quickly before they close, and spank the ladies. They shut quite quickly so this is quite hard to do but it is fun trying. It has full instructions and you can also send it to a friend, there are lists of highest winners you are playing against. Just a bit of nonsense really but in keeping with the sites theme. I love the classical baroque style music they use to accompany this game and the private party and the music does bring the Agent Provocateur site to life an add atmosphere to your browsing.

---AP MAGAZINE---
There is a free Agent Provocateur magazine which you can receive by entering your email address. This is choc full of information, letters and stories and all written in a very interesting style. With various links throughout the text to items and topics of interest; I notice it had a link to a hotel in my City of Brighton, which just happens to be my favourite fun party hotel. Hotel Pelirocco is a fantastic small hotel near Brighton seafront and each room is themed. There is a 'Musicians Room', The Durex Play Room, complete with pole dancer's pole, The Sex Siren Room etc. The magazine makes for really interesting reading and the section Club AP houses your account, Cinema, Sounds and so much more.


---SUMMARY---
I think this site is fantastic. It's the best site that I have visited on the Web. It is so well designed and thought out and the ease of use is brilliant. Navigation is a doddle and there is very clever use of interactive web design. The wealth of products on offer is immense and it took me ages looking through all of them. But the site is so beautifully displayed and so well sectioned off that finding everything was a breeze. What I liked most about the Agent Provocateur site was its sense of fun and everything about it was tasteful and tongue in cheek. The product range is stunning from 'Classic' through to 'Erotic' and all items appear to be beautifully made. I liked the accompanying classical Baroque music that was played and I liked the quality of site. This site is erotic as opposed to, say, Anne Summers which I use as a comparison, which I find a bit tacky and their products quite cheaply produced.

The Agent Provocateur lingerie and products are quite expensive, so be in for a shock. But they are however, I feel, worth the money. They products are unique, beautiful and very exclusive. I like the 50's theme that seems to run through a lot of their lingerie lines also. The size ranges are pretty good too, running from X-Small through to large and there is a 'Store Finder' onsite so you will be able to find the branch closest to you. Take a look at the site it is really impressive. If you want to feel special, pampered and sexy, then this is the site for you. But don't get carried away, their items do not come with a cheap price tag. I would definitely recommend the Agent Provocateur Website. It's brilliant and the best site to date that I have visited on the Web.-
