Booked a holiday with Alpha-rooms after searching for the best price for quite sometime. was bit concerned after reading neg reports of them calling the hotel days before the start of the holiday then having to tell the customer that the hotel was now fully booked. But i thought i would book anyway. However the confirmation could not be given straight away, and it stated it that i should receive confirmation within 48hrs. I really needed a confirmation or at least an email about the booking. So i tried calling them but couldn't get through...i just got an answer machine. Anyway i got fed up waiting and canceled the booking (which is free if in 48hrs). 2 day later i get an email to say that flight cannot be confirmed. i had already booked with someone else. then day later get email confirming the hotel. oh dear!

I managed to book some really cheap flights in July to Salou in Spain and then all I needed to get was some cheap accommodation. I surfed around for a bit checking out all the usual so called ‘cheap’ websites and couldn’t really find anything I was looking for. Which was pretty much a decent 3* hotel in a good location for 4. We weren’t bothered about sharing a room so air conditioning was a must and also a non-fresh water pool. On every website it brought up the usual 2* no pool or very small fresh water pool self catering and no air conditioning for about £100 each for the week.
