Amazon.co.uk is in my honest opinion the best web-based shop on the internet today. You can get anything here at a decent price.

I have bought numerous items from here at a fraction of the price they go for in the shops. I mean sure, shops are now trying to cut their prices for electrical goods to match Amazon's prices - but Amazon just end up lowering them again!!! So in a way its always to Amazon's and the consumers advantage.

The fact is that shops have overheads like commission and the like so they need to keep prices at a sustainable level. Whereas Amazon do not have overheads like greedy salespeople trying to earn more commission nor do they have to pay council rates on shops/department stores, maybe just their warehouses, head office and customer service centre!!!

And the fact that Amazon put not all, but a fair amount of items on free delivery (called free supersaver delivery) means that you won't get penalised by postage and packing charges - a problem lots of online retailers have.

The only minor problem Amazon have is the same as a lot of online retailers have - sometimes items can become damaged/lost in transit, but this is a minority and pretty much never Amazon's fault anyway. This is down to the postal service used. And in any case Amazon are always happy to give a refund/replacement as long as its within a reasonable time.

This is why I enjoy online shopping, because as long as you've got a decent antivirus/spyware/firewall package this - along with the fact that most shops/online retailers have secure settings for online purchasing. You're sure to pick up a bargain and sleep easy knowing your bank details are not falling into crooks hands.
