Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, good returns procedure

Disadvantages: Not all items qualify for free delivery

If I am looking to buy dvds, cds,computer games, books, electricals and even outdoor items Amazon is always my first port of call.

They have a huge product range and add to it every day, I am always suprised by some of the stuff you can buy on there (e.g. I recently bought a hiking rucksack!).

The prices are consistently some of the cheapest on the internet. The free super saver delivery is excellent too and you only have to spend £5 to qualify it. It takes a little longer than standard delivery (which takes about 1-2 days) but items usually arrive within 2-3 days of ordering them. Items are packaged very effectively using as little packaging as possible while still protecting the item.

The website is very easy to use, and very secure. Once you've signed up you can easily buy an item with just a few clicks. The search function is excellent and (in my experience) items are rarely out of stock.

The returns procedure is so easy, you just enter the details online, print off a label and send it back to them. I recently returned a dvd I bought in error and I got my money back within a week.

Only disadvantage would be that not all items are eligible for free delivery, this can be quite annoying when you are buying a number of items.

Summary: Always my first stop for dvds, books, electricals, cds etc.
