Advantages: Great website, good customer service, easy returns loads to buy and sell

Disadvantages: You can't pay with paypal?

I have read many reviews about Amazon but have never posted one because I did not feel I had used the site enough. However, I have bought many items from Amazon paying with money and vouchers and I have returned items so I now feel I know enough knowledge and experience to write about them.

Amazon is an online website where you can buy and sell items. I have bought items from Amazon using vouchers from dooyoo and my own cash. Amazon sells anything and everything. The website is easy to navigate and is divided into categories you can buy from Amazon or from market place sellers. There are lots of useful functions on the website like wish lists, my basket, sellers account etc.

I have bought from Amazon and market place sellers. The market place sellers I have bought from have been good but it is a risk because these people are Jo public rather than the business Amazon. I prefer to buy from Amazon over the marketplace sellers, as there is less risk of being disappointed.

Once you have found an item to buy and added it to your basket you need to confirm your address and pay by either voucher or card. The item will then be dispatched. Amazon keeps you informed by e-mails letting you know the item has been dispatched etc. Smaller items come via royal mail so the postman will deliver it to you. Larger items will come via courier.

I ordered a computer monitor, which came via city link courier. I had problems with these (see the review) in the end I had to contact Amazon to ask them to sort things out with the delivery company on my behalf. The woman at customer services was very helpful the phone was answered promptly and she dealt with my problem very quickly. she phoned me back to confirm the outcome and then e mailed me to confirm the issue had be dealt with I was very impressed with the customer service at Amazon.

I have returned a few items and it has been very simple each time. You go to your account click on the item you have received then click return item it then takes you thought how to print labels for return and then smaller items need to be taken to the post office to be returned this service is free. Larger items need to be collected via courier this is all organised via Amazon when you go through Amazon returns and print labels you can organise collection. Once Amazon have received the item they will send you an e mail to confirm the item has been received and that you have been refunded of a replacement has been sent.

I have sold items on Amazon in the past. Simply find the item on the website and click sell yours. You can then choose a price and write a line about the item you are selling. If the item is sold Amazon, will e mail you and tell you where it needs to be sent to and they will confirm the price it sold for. In due, time the selling price less any fees will arrive into your bank account.

I like Amazon there is so much choice of items to buy customer service are fantastic the prices are reasonable and returns are very easy and free. I would highly recommend Amazon for buying and selling.
