Advantages: Great for books DVDs and computer games!!

Disadvantages: Never tried to buy anything else so I dont know what its like for that!!

Amazon is the place I go when I want to buy books, DVDs, Computer Games even though it does sell other things (like ebay does) but I never think of Amazon for anything else like that, but thats just me.

Amazon is very much like Ebay, you can buy and sell, though I've never tried selling, from what I have seen, read and heard, its very much like Ebay, but easier, say your selling a book, you type in the ISBN number, and then it even works out the postage for you which is good as it means you dont have to guess how much its going to cost.

Amazon is great, well for what I use it for anyway, you type in the book or DVD title whihc you want to buy, and amazon brings up a list starting with the cheapest first (I Love Capri by Belinda Jones was 1p last time I looked!!!), you can buy either new or used, from amazon shop or from users on the site. So if your buying for a gift you can buy new, even though a little more expensive than used, its still a huge price cut on what you'd pay in the shops. But if of course your buying a book for yourself, your only going to use it once then you can sell it again and you can get books from 1p (plus p+p). Postage is a little expensive, its standard delivery charges of £2.99, whihc is a little annoying if your only getting a small paperback book which will be sent in a simple envelope whihc will cost probably no less than a pound, but then again, if your buying a big heavy book, its the same price, so it does work out.

Amazon is great for books, DVDs and games, and probably everything else too even though i've never used it for anything other than that.

I recommend giving it a go especially if your starting college or uni soon and need text books!!!! MUCH cheaper than anywhere else!!
