I have bought a lot of items over the years on the Internet and can honestly say I have never found a better online retailer. They have a number of websites aimed at different Countries and in different languages. These include the UK, USA, Germany, France, Japan, Canada and China.

You are not prohibited from buying abroad from other Amazon sites. In fact when stock is at a low in the UK it may actually be a good idea. This happened a lot last year when the Wii was in very short supply in the UK. The German site had a fair abundance. It is worth bearing in mind though that some electrical goods won't work in the UK unless an adapter is added. Books might be German etc. Also anything out of the European Union may be charged with VAT.

I personally have not bought from Amazon out of the UK but I have bought lots of items from them in the UK. They are almost always below the general retail price on the high street.It can be argued that this has been a large factor in the downfall of the high street. They can simply keep costs down due to not having to pay premium retail rates.

Amazon will send you any items you buy over £5.00 at no postage cost. They also make it very easy to buy accepting most kinds of payment. Another excellent advantage I have found with amazon is their huge choice. They sell anything from Toys, Books, Computer Games to name a few. All items I have bought have always been sent extremely quickly.

Recently when a neighbour asked me to help her return an item that was broken, I was surprised to see that you could actually print out a return postage slip online. Not only that it said that they would send a replacement immediately, even before receiving the returned item.

Their Customer Service Dept. really is second to none.!! Highly Recommended.
