Advantages: Great site, loads fast, updated regularly.

Disadvantages: Can't use gift vouchers in the Marketplace.

Amazon.co.uk is now one of my favourite sites online to buy items from.

The pricing on Amazon is always very competitive and if you are looking for a specific item you will likely find it here either for sale by Amazon.co.uk or from a member of the Marketplace.

Amazon seem to sell everything, electronics, cds, dvds, toys, games, books, beds, you name it, they seem to sell it (or have somebody listed who sells it!).

I think part of the reason for my increasing popularity at using Amazon.co.uk is partly because I receive quite a few Amazon vouchers now (partly from Dooyoo, partly from other sites) and partly because there is lots of advertising for Amazon on Dooyoo (which works very well I might add!).

I receive an e-mail from them every week with their deals of the week (which run until 23:59 on Sunday of that week unless specified elsewhere) and there is often discounts on electronical items.

The prices can change daily on some products (up or down!) and I like this as it means they're trying to stay current rather than just setting a price and sticking to it.

I have a wishlist on Amazon where I can add items I'd like to own/buy/receive as presents and I could also make a wedding list if I chose to (which as I'm not getting married yet I haven't!). The wishlist is a fantastic feature as once I've found a specific item I want I can add it to my list until I can find money to pay for it!

Also, another great feature of the website is that if you log in it recommends items that you might like based on your previous purchases and I quite often add things from here on to my wishlist for birthdays and what not if
people ask me what I'd like I can send them here for a browse through!

The gift certificate account is a great feature as when I receive a voucher I can just log in to Amazon.co.uk an add it straight to my account and this means that the money is there ready for me when I want to make a purchase.

Once you have found an item that you want and you want to pay for it now you can just add it to your basket, confirm that is the item or items that you want and then proceed to the payment option. You can pay by credit card (mastercard/visa etc) and it will also advise if you have any gift certificates/balances available and if so you can choose to apply these to your account. The only down side is I have been advised that you can't use gift certificates to pay for items from the marketplace (I've not checked this myself but I've heard it enough so I guess it's true!).

If you spend £5.00 or more from items direct from Amazon.co.uk they will qualify for free super saver delivery (3-5 days) and although this really does take around 3-5 days it's a fantastic option if you only want to spend a few pounds and don't need the item in a hurry.

I would highly recommend Amazon, it's a well run website which is updated almost hourly, I've never had any problems with any items I've brought from there so I can't comment on any returns policies but I would definitely recommend it.

One of the best buys I've seen here are books for 1p (+ postage of £2.50 or so) and this is just fantastic as you can often get things that are nearly new!

Summary: I would highly recommend this one stop shop!
