Advantages: High prices, risk free fee structure.

Disadvantages: Customer service not great but still passable (beats ebay)

Amazon is an excellent place to sell because prices are higher than EBay or Play.com and Amazon handle the payments process so there is less opportunity for fraud.
When there is a problem Amazon will invariably side with the buyer and charge your credit card without working though the issues but most transactions run smoothly.
Fees are relatively low and you are only charged if your item sells, you get a postage allowance on top of the selling price but this is lower than the true price of posting and is offset by fees.
The site is well designed and customer service is fast and effective for buyers, however prices are high. Sellers have worse customer service both in terms of speed and usefulness and the payments system frequently fails the first few times you try to cash out.
Most people don' leave feedback because the system is more complicated than EBay and sellers don't have much communication with the buyer anyway. This is annoying as you need a high score to sell more expensive items
