Advantages: Fantastic food at extremely low prices

Disadvantages: No set delivery date.

I found this amazing website whilst looking through the forums on Money saving expert , it was mentioned over and over again with everyone raving about how brilliant it was, so I thought I had better take a look.
It is an internet based cash and carry that sells food and grocery items that are either near to their best before date or have gone over their best before date. At first I was like "ew I am not eating out of date food" but then I got tempted by these Fabulous Bakin' boys lemon cakes that were still in date (only just) and cost £2.00 for 30. Yes that is right 6p a cake !!! Now as a cakeaholic I consider myself to be quite the expert on cakey things and when these arrived they were exactly as you would buy them in a supermarket although in one big box rather than six in a box and they tasted exactly the same. I also got loads of pasta sauce for about 5p a jar, Jordans muesli bars for 10p each, cartons of orange juice for about 3p a carton. In fact I got so much the DHL delivery driver nearly put his back out, It came in three huge boxes and I felt like it was Christmas opening all of the packages. Delivery cost varies depending in where you live, I live in Kent and for the amount I ordered it cost nine pounds. Which I thought was fantastic value considering how much I ordered. It took about a week to be delivered, you can't pick when it arrives but it is delivered by DHL so if you are not in they leave a card and will redeliver.
One of the items I ordered was out of stock and a prompt refund was issued before delivery which I really appreciated.
I thought after I had ordered it that I would not tell anyone that it was out of date, after all it's a bit embarrassing I didn't want the mums at the school having a whip round for me so I could provide my children with an 'in date' lunch. But I have found myself telling anyone who will listen, when people come round I offer them a cake or a biscuit and once they have eaten it and said how lovely it was I tell them 'it only cost 2p because it was out of date'. I have converted at least 5 people who now shop at approved foods regularly. They don't sell anything that is past its use by date, only best before so they wouldn't sell meat or dairy products or anything that could be harmful to you. They just sell brilliant bargains that in my honest opinion taste exactly the same as in the supermarkets.

Summary: Brilliant brand named food for so much less than rrp.

Sounds good - we have a local shop that sells things that have been around the world 6 times and are out of date but depending on the food I don't mind. I was brought up abroad where we had most of our stuff out of date.

This is a fantastic website, although one thing to note, the food sold is not actually 'Out of date' it has simply passed it's 'Best before' date (There is a huge difference), and mnost foods that have a sell by date take months, if not years before you would notice the difference in quality.
All a 'Best before' date does it tell you when the food is at it's highest quality.
Take a bottle of fizzy drink.... That will last years passed it's 'Best before' date and will never actually go off, it will just lose it's fizz, but if the lid is on it takes months, if not years.
