Advantages: Bulky items delivered straight to your door, cheap branded products

Disadvantages: Waiting time for orders at the moment.

I have just recieved my first order from Approved food, I think of it as the food section of homebargains or a £1 shop but online, as the food is either close to its sell by date, or past it, but not past its best before date.

There is a difference between the two, shops have to sell by there sell by date, but there best before (or eat by date) is a while after that. You may have noticed his on more and more foods in supermarkets, especially fresh food they have 2 dates on them.

With ravenous kids to feed the food I have bought from here, never goes past the short shelf life dates, so that is a bonus.

It sells alot of branded products, which can differ from week to week, but their customer service is great, so if something goes out of stock quick they will email you to let you know, and either refund or substititute it for a similar item usually of higher value.

I know some people may have had a long waiting time recently for orders to be fullfilled, but due to a customer posting this great find on moneysavignexpert.com they had an influx of orders they had never anticipated, but i cannot fault them for dealing with this as quickly as possible and working around the clock to fullfill orders.

Just to give you a hint of the kinds of savings that can be made. Faboulous baking boys chooclate cupcakes retail at £1.25 for a box of 6 in the supermarket, i got a box of 30 of these for £1
also 750g giant nuttella £1.50
Delmonti frutini high juice 24 pack £1.44 ( i got 3 of these for kids packed lunches)
4 x easy washing up liquid 625ml 50p each

Shipping was £5.25 but i saved more that that on the items I bought alone and including shipping.
