The worst internet company I've ever shopped with

I shop with Argos all the time. They sell a great range of products and they're usually at pretty good prices too.
When they first started to offer online shopping, I thought it would be a great idea. I regularly checked their sale sections and often tried to order sale items. Sadly I was never able to do this as items that were on sale always seemt to be out of stock for online ordering.
I have ordered twice from Argos and have to say that my experiences have not been very good.
The first time was about 4 years ago. My grandad wanted an armchair from Argos and I ordered it online for him. We asked for it to be delivered to our home address as he didn't really want to have to deal with it on his own at his house and I was at home during the day, so it made sense.
We did the order online and everything went through fine. I paid on my debit card for him and asked for it to be delivered to my house on a saturday afternoon and paid extra for this.
A week later it was due to arrive and we spent the Saturday at home waiting for the chair to arrive. It didn't.
On Monday I phoned Argos who told me that they had no order for the chair and that I hadn't even paid for it. When I checked my bank mini statement, the payment had been taken the day after I had placed the order.
I got back on to Argos and told them this and they said they would have to get back to me.
Another week later I got feed up and phoned them. They hadn't even bothered to try to call me and said that they had cancelled the order as the chair was out of stock and they had refunded the payment. The payment had not shown up as back in my account yet and this was 2 weeks after I placed the order.
I asked them why they had not told me any of this and all they could say is that a letter should have been sent out. I told them I had sepnt a whole Saturday in waiting for a delivery and all they could say was that I should have received this letter, which I never did get.
I asked what would happen about the chair now and they said I would have to re-order it if I still wanted it.
I didn't want to bother my grandad with any of this so I just re-ordered it for him and again asked for it to be delivered to me on a Saturday.
Well, this time they tried to deliver it on a weekday. I was out at the time and they left a note to call them back. I called back and they said that if they couldn't deliver it today they would have to re-turn it to the depot and then the order would be cancelled. I told them I wanted a Saturday delivery and has paid extra for this. They didn't know anything about it.
In the end it was easier to just acept the delivery on the weekday, i thought I might not get it back again if I sent them away!
I tried several times to complain and get my money back for the preimum delivery but was unsuccessful.
Our sofabed broke a couple of weeks ago and I needed a new one quickly. Not having expected it to beak like that I ordered one through Argos because they had one on offer and had a buy now pay later deal.
Again I have had problems and haven't actually got it yet.
When I ordered it I asked for them to call me to arrange a delivery date. They called me at least 6 time a day for a week untill they actually had a Saturday delivery available.
I am currently waiting for it to arrive, but I don't hold up too much hope.
Both times I have ordered from Argos online I have had problems and have had complications on both occassions. I do realise that most if not all companies have problems from time to time but what I found so bad about Argos is their lack of caring and customer service skills.
I would not reccomend Argos.co.uk based on my own experiences. Perhaps I have been unlucky, but I wont be ordering from them again!
