Advantages: high and low scale products and prices, a vast range
Disadvantages: there will be some things you can't get and they charge delivery
Living within walking distance of an Argos, I have still used there web site quite a bit. T is so much easier to search for something on tit than to trudge to the shop and flick endlessly through that mammoth catalogue of theirs. They have a vast range of products, from toys to electronics to tents to beds. If there is ever anything 'householdy' that I need, I generally turn to Argos first because they have so much stuff, often with a choice between brands of similar products and a matching price range to suit any pocket. They also tend to have fairly comprehensive product descriptions and customer reviews for many products. I have had items delivered, usually larger ones such as my bed and bike, when a day of arrival was agreed. But aside from actually ordering for delivery, I'd say an equally highly useful tool is finding your local branch and seeing if they have your desired item in stock and then you can further choose to have them hold it for a day, with a code that you can take to the store to pick it up.
Summary: a useful site for researching the product you want, and reserving and buying it
