Argos I often use Argos on line because I find it such an easy way to shop, you choose your item, pay for it and then have it delivered. It is an ideal shopping experience especially when it comes to larger items or even your entire Christmas present list for family and friends. It is not a shopping site just for ... I ordered 2 lampshades from Homebase which is owned by Argos, they arrived damaged. I eventually received a refund for the lampshades but not for the delivery charge. However, I think it is unreasonable that the delivery charge wasn't refunded as I returned the linen lampshades solely because they were damaged. Furthermore I think it is probable that poor practice by Argos contributed to the damage as the lampshades were sent in an opaque plastic bag with no indication of the fragile contents. I think it is likely that they were under something heavier in the van or in the depot. Therefore, I do feel aggrieved that I have been financially penalised because of this poor practice. After many emails I have been offered this refund by 3 different customer service people but I stii haven't received it. Never again

I love shopping online as I find it so convenient, but sometimes don't want to wait ages for delivery, especially if companies won't tell you when they are delivering. For me Argos is the perfect balance, I can shop and browse online, then either reserve and collect immediately at my local store, or book a delivery slot that suits ... Read the complete review

Argos.co.uk is the website for the 'catalogue shop' (as they call themselves), Argos. If you want to order something from Argos but you don't want to go out and get it, you can order it from their website. You can also check whether or not what you want to buy is in stock in the store or not, and if it is in stock, you can ... Read the complete review

Christmas is a really hard time to buy for. I couldn't really make up my mind what I was wanting when my fiance asked me. After some thought I decided that I would like a Wii fit board, as we already had a Wii in the house. My fiance went to every shop in the high street and they were all sold out of Wii fit boards. After telling me ... Read the complete review

It doesn't take a genius to buy via the Argos website, even my techno-phobe mother managed to order presents last year. As Bill Bailey so beautifully asked - "why is the catalogue laminated? To catch the falling tears of joy...". I'm not a card carrying Argos fan, I admit. I can't bear going in the stores (they bring out my inner snob), and there's an element of the betting shop in waiting for your number to come up on the "item ... Read the complete review

I am an Argos convert. I used to have this idea that as it was a catalogue, it was full of overpriced poor quality items. That is very far from the truth though. Online shopping with Argos is pretty good, with one exception which I will come back to later in this review.
