Advantages: dont have to leave home, easy, saves money

Disadvantages: missing bargain items

Asda is the main place where I do my shopping as it's close by. I recently tried out the home shopping in a bid to save a bit of money because I was going on holiday a the end of the week but still needed to get some food in, had I gone up to Asda I would definatly have spent well over £100 as I usually do! But by using the online shopping I saved myself over £60!!!! Probably due to the fact that I couldn't buy the reduced items and clothes etc. that I usually end up coming home with!

Asda.co.uk is fairly simple to use, I had to put in my post code to see if home delivery was available (I knew it was but they didn't know that did they lol) then I had to create an account.
The good thing is you can type in a shopping list then all the related products will be shown item by item. I found this handy as iit saved typing in the precise names of what I wanted....I did want PG Tips tea bags but when the Asda brand ones came up 2 for £1 I got those instead, it's really good as it does show you the offers that you would walk past in store if you weren't taking any notice.

I had to pick a delivery slot from a calander so chose one for the afternoon 12pm-2pm something like that, and then paid using my credit card. I found it a bit strange when just £1 was deducted but when I checked they do this for security reasons, the rest of the payment will come out before your shopping arrives. Then I sat back and waited...well no actually I cleaned and washed and ironed and packed lol!

My shopping arrived within 30mins of the delivery time (around 12.30pm) so I wasn't left hanging around waiting all day :o). The delivery driver was polite and helpful, all I had to do was sign his little computer to say I had recieved my shopping he did the rest!

Everything I ordered was there....I expected something to be missing but no fair play to Asda it was good!

The driver did explain that this time everything I ordered was available but next time if something wasn't there I could choose to have a subsitute!

Overall a good home shopping experience but I did miss doing the shopping myself.

Summary: A good experience but I like to do it myself!
