Advantages: Brilliant site with great fashion
Disadvantages: Too much temptation at my finger tips
Well, there's 182 other reviews of asos.com on this website, so I'm not sure if I can tell you much more than there is already, but I wanted to review it because I absolutely LOVE this website. Instead of a 'traditional' review, I thought I would tell you the top 5 things I like about this website.
1) Selection of products.
Hands up who has pounded the high street looking for THAT item but has returned home, frustrated and empty handed hours later? I certainly have! The beauty of asos is that they have an excellent selection of products, from their own, relatively cheap label, right through to designer clothes. They stock most of the brands you would find on the high street (Warehouse, French Connection etc). I have also often found clothes on asos that I have literally scoured the high street for. Their own brand clothing is cheap and very fashionable, and I'd say about the same quality as New Look.
I like a bargain and mainly only buy clothes on sale. Asos is brilliant as it usually has some kind of sale on, which means you rarely have to pay full price for something. This of course might have a negative effect on your bank account as it's so VERY easy to justify a little treat.
3) Ease of return.
I think asos has a great returns system, which I have used on a number of occasions. Each item of clothing arrives with a "Don't pull this off unless you are happy with the product" label, which you need to leave on until you know you are satisfied. They have a very generous return period of 28 days, which I find is very useful as if you are busy, it's often hard to get to the Post Office to return things, at least with a longer return period you have a chance! In each package from asos you get a postage-paid label for returns, and a simple form that you fill in, using a code to signify why you are returning the product. Asos refunds your credit card within 3 days of them receiving the item. It's always been really smoothe in my experience
Asos offers a range of delivery options to suit all budgets and timescales.
You can opt for:
Free supersaver delivery, delivered within 6 working days
Standard delivery, £3.95 (free for orders over £75), 3
Next day delivery, £5.95 (free for orders over £100)
Nominated day delivery, £5.95
Same day delivery, £7.95 (certain postcodes only)
Usually, I'm in no particular rush for my items, so I plump for free delivery, but I think the next day and same day delivery are brilliant if you need something quickly. And they're not TOO expensive I don't think.
5) I can go shopping with the OH and he doesn't whinge! *edit 2/9/10 as OH would like to point out that he ENJOYS this and thinks he was unfairly represented in the original*
Yes ladies, for all of you who have put up with whingey men, asos is brilliant.
My OH likes to look through it with me and help me find new outfits. He's quite brilliant at choosing things that suit me and show off my figure and I like his input. While this would be a nightmare on the high street, it's great at home as he can chill out with a beer whilst looking at clothes.
So, those are the main reasons why I love asos, I also like...the fact that it remembers your card details so you don't have to keep re-entering them (though this is LETHAL if you are an impulse buyer)...the fact that my mum can find things in the designer bit while I can look in the cheaper bit...the fact that they have suggestions for coordinating items so you can put together a 'look' if you are stuck...the fact you can buy things for all the family on there as they do great children's clothes...the fact that they sell individual, different brands that are harder to find on a high street...the fact that there's loads of filters you can use to search for what you want in the size, style, colour you want so you don't have to go through pages of unsuitable clothes...the fact that the site is clearly laid out and very easy to navigate
I hope this has been inciteful. As you can tell, I'm a BIG fan.
Summary: Try it, I love it!
