Recently, we have been doing a lot of decorating so I have been visiting DIT stores. I have to say that I have been most impressed by B&Q. Not as attractive as some DIY stores, it gets down to business and is what it is. It doesn't need fancy colours and styles, it sells paint and screws etc! I like this about it.

I think it is aimed more at men and perhaps the more experienced DIYer or people in the trade but it has everything you need whatever yourt skill level and I think the prices are a lot more reasonable than most DIY stores. There is a very wide range from the most basic to very high tech and expensive. It has everything you need.

My partner has a trade card which gives him a discount on everything he buys which is brilliant. I think you have to have a business to get this but if you do have one, it's well worth it.

I think B&Q is the best DIY shop.
