I actually first discovered this website when redeeming by dooyoo miles, found them competitive and have bought a number of videos from them since then.

Blackstar offer a huge range of videos and DVDs for films, sport, musicals and so on. I have never had any problems finding a video or DVD as each one has been in stock.

Blackstar offer a search facility where you type in your video name (similar to a search engine) and it comes up with all of the possibilities. Most videos come up with normal size (for standard TVs), widescreen and DVD versions, extending the range still further, making it much large than you would find in a conventional shop.

If however, Blackstar do not have your video, they offer a “Video Hunt” facility, where, for no extra cost, they will search the world for that video. By all accounts, they are able to find some very old and obscure titles. I find Blackstar prices very competitive, hence me using them all the time, and the P+P rates are also reasonable.

The actual website is very easy to use and navigate, and the ordering of a video is very straight forward. One good feature of this website is that they keep e-mailing you to tell you how your order is progressing and when it was posted. I have received all of my videos with in three days of ordering them.

It is very easy for dooyoo users to receive their vouchers and they are sent to you by e-mail within a few days. Unlike some gift vouchers, any remaining balance remains in your account for any future use. Blackstar also offer a reward service when you get points for each item you buy, which can be redeemed for goods (if you buy 900 videos then they will give you a DVD player!!!)

Overall, Blackstar is well worth a look even if you don’t buy from them. You will be surprised by the range and competitive prices.
