Advantages: quick delivery, competitve prices
Disadvantages: poor customer service, unreliable information
Hi,
I ordered from Bluespot.co.uk (Car Audio Group) recently. The order was processed smoothly and a question by email was answered promptly. The goods were in good order and delivered quickly. However, I had a question concerning the bill and emailed Bluespot. When after 2 days I had not even received an email to confirm that Bluespot were dealing with my question, I decided to phone Bluespot. The information I received on the phone was quite unbelievable and I think people shopping with Bluespot should know about how Bluespot Customer Services may deal with a valid customer complaint. Note: I don’t want to exclude that I have been unlucky and the person dealing with my request was not representative of the usual standard of Bluespot Customer Services.
When a customer complaint is received, Bluespot Customer Services will decide whether your complaint is (quote) ‘a waste of time’ or worth an answer. In the first case, you will not receive a reply from Bluespot whatsoever. My comment that a short reply does only take one minute was answered with ‘Exactly’. That was it, it appears that Bluespot Customer Services are completely understaffed and therefore there really is not even a minute to answer all customer complaints or answering customer complaints may not be a priority for Bluespot. Secondly, any emails from Bluespot in connection to a question from the customer may contain wrong information even on the most basic questions (quote) ‘have you never made a mistake’. Finally, the person signing an email may in fact not be the same person who has written the email, which is not obvious on the email. Therefore, any complaints about wrong information given by Bluespot cannot be traced to the person who has given the wrong advice.
So, if you have a valid question after a purchase, make sure your email is written in such a way that your question does not appear to be a waste of time! Phoning Bluespot may also be a problem as staff do take their time understanding a problem. Sometimes, they may also hang up on a customer, though this comment, made when I phoned customer services, was apparently not directed at myself but at a different customer. How charming.

- 28/05/05 Not my experience at all. I had a problem with a radio I had purchased from bluespot.co.uk, not down to the product itself but due to my incorrect installation. The engineer at bluespot could not have been more helpful, even phoning my back to ensure the problem (I had ordered the wrong type of wiring adaptor for my year of vehicle) has been resolved.

Some great advice from Sara, below!
Sorry about the rating but I feel that your review needs more info to make it helpful to readers. It is usually advisable to feature some background information about a site, products they sell and their prices, and then go on to share your personal experiences. Hope this helps :o)
