“ Looking for a bargain, shop here! Daily item featured. „
I first read about boffer.co.uk on this website and I thought it sounded like an interesting concept - each evening, at midnight the Boffer team offers a "daily deal" which runs for 24 hours. Each item is costs less than it would elsewhere and the reason items are priced so low is because Boffer purchase bankrupt stock and sell each item on to their users at a lower than retail price. Each members of the community gets the opportunity to Boffer an item which they like the look of (you can Boffer some items more than once). However once it's gone, it's gone and sometimes popular Boffers sell out a few minutes after midnight - so you have to be quick. ********* What kinds of things can you buy on there? ********* There is a wide range of items that go up for sale on boffer.co.uk. Recent examples include: a designer fan heater, a men's Rotary automatic watch, an Apple MacBook, a lighting illuminated snowman and a Sonic rechargeable toothbrush. Regardless of the size of the item postage is always £2.99 and you do receive "free postage vouchers" once you start boffering. ********* Why has the site become so popular? *********** Boffer has become popular largely because of the infamous BOC (bag of crap) and Secret Santa promotions. Occasionally the site runs these promotions and site users have no idea what they will receive in their package. Lots of people have started uploading films of them opening their bags of crap on YouTube and companies are supposedly sending Boffer free gifts to include in Bags of Crap in the hope that their item will be seen on YouTube. The beauty of this promotion is that people may receive anything ranging from a 30 inch plasma television to an empty DVD case. ********** My opinion ************ I have been looking on the website for a while now and today I decided to make my first Boffer. I have purchased a 'Secret Santa' which means that I will receive two random items from a list of 13. Each item on the list costs more than the £11.99 (plus £2.99 postage) that I've paid and if I don't like what I get then I will simply put it onto eBay. The transaction was really easy to make and I was able to pay through Paypal, so I know that the transaction is secure. As I have previously explained, I've only just started browsing the Boffer site, but already I think that the forums and the concept are addictive! ...I will let you know what I receive in my Secret Santa! I can see this website becoming extremely popular, but unless you want to purchase crap on impulse (like I just have), you should probably stay away...
Boffer is a fantastic site I heard about through reading reviews on Dooyoo . Essentially, it is a wesbite that offers a deal a day - usually stock obtained from bankrupt or liquidated businesses - at a vast discount compared to the recommended retail price. The items vary - and sometimes they're going to be items you're just not interested in - and can be anything from electric rechargable toothbrushes, massagers and designer sunglasses to toys and fitness equipment. Each item comes with a description, which always includes a link to the best price they can find online .For example, the other day they had some Nike branded sunglasses up for £12.99 - sunglasses that would usually sell for in excess of 50 quid . Obviously, these stocks do sometimes run out, and if you're unlucky and check the site too late in the day, you may miss out on the item . Items are changed at 11.59pm each night, so if like me you're often up late, it's pretty easy to check quickly before you head off to bed. I do think the selection of items is pretty good and varied, and actually this site could be used to buy some really nice gifts at reasonable prices . Postage and packing costs are low , and on many offers you can have more than one (some are one only) and combine the postage for greater savings . With that said, the postage cost being low is reflected in the delivery time - items can take a week or more to arrive in some cases. One item to note is the regular 'bag of crap' offers, a random selection of items. Prices on these vary, and items range from utter tat - CD cases, DVD disks, batteries up to some really good items, flat screen TVs, MP3 players, Cameras etc . Today, they have on offer a large 'sack of crap' for christmas, which costs £20 and contains 18 items. I've just ordered mine, and can't wait to see what random delights it contains when it arrives - I shall update this review when it does! They still have some of these available, and it might be worth making this your first Boffer! The site is cleanly designed and simple to use . Registration is quick and easy, and you can pay by paypal and most major credit or debit cards . Overall, I really like the site, and with many sites going out of business all the time, I suspect it is only a matter or time before many similar sites start cropping up all over the internet. I love the range of products, the fact that you can see how much you are potentially saving, and I love the randomness of the bag of crap idea. I'll be sure to update when my bag of crap arrives and list all the items contained! www.boffer.co.uk
www.boffor.co.uk. yet another "daily deal" site which offers 1 item at an unbeatable price for 24 hours, but get it quick as when it's gone it's gone, and on this site it does sell out. The layout The main page hits you with a big picture which has nothing much to do with the item for sale but you always have a look at it and try to make a connection, next to the picture is a bullet point description of the offer item, a buy it now (Boffer me) button and a count down timer letting you know how much time you have left to buy it. There are links across the top of the page for: news, blog, forum, speak to us, my account, about us and suppliers. Scroll down the page and you get a few paragraphs of rubbish, once again nothing to do with the deal but sometimes worth a read for a laugh. Scroll down a bit more! Yes you get a real picture of the actual deal and then a full description, as most of the goods are bankrupt stock ect it also tell you whether there is any guarantee and the condition of the item e.g., Boxed, open box, brand new. There is also a link to a Google search for the best price on the web so you can find out quickly if it's a bargain price. The stock I have seen everything from a C90 audio cassette for £0.00 to a brand Nissan interstar 2.5 van for about £12000, P+P is £2.99 per item but if you subscribe to boffer on twiter you can get a free P+P code. I have never been able to grab a bargain off this site because if it's a real good offer it just flies out the door in minuets so you have got to be quick, many times i have had a look about 12.30 and seen an item that i wanted only to see a "Todays boffer is sold out" label, slapped across the buy it now button. They tend to run a lot of publicity promotions like £0.00 (free) items and sell off's where they have a night selling a limited stock items until it's sold out then start another......., if you have the free P+P code then the free items are totally free! Ordering They accept all the usual cards but no Pay-Pal, not for the want of trying (bargain items always sell out so quick) i have never ordered off this site! but feed back from people i know says the ordering/delivery and returns process is pretty strait forward, just remember that some items only carry a 90 day warranty but this is always stated on the item. Other stuff As mentioned you can follow boffer on twiter for information on promotions, and they also run forum where people can chat/post about the deals so you can easy check out what people are saying about boffer, Unless it's censored! They also sometimes offer a "boc" as the daily offer this is a bag of...... well, crap! yes they fill a bag with random stuff and people buy it without even knowing what's in it! Conclusion I love this site and try to have a look as soon after midnight as possible, it,s a fun site with some good bargains to be had if you can get in quick enough, not all the offers are for everyone but keep an eye on it and one day the bargain you want wont be sold out!
This site is AWESOME, there is no other way to describe it. I got sent a link through from a friend went there and ever since PayPal has been wokring overtime. The site works on a 1 item a day sale model. This means they have a huge stock of 1 item from a bankrupt/liquidated store (usually) and sell it for a vastly reduced price. This works out great for us as consumers meaning we get items dead cheap, unfortunately it is the luck of the draw whether or not you want the item. Most of the time it doesn;t wor out that great to buy just 1 of the items as the postage and packaging puts the price up fo cheaper items too close to normal pice, however if you buy 3 or so then it works out very chep still. Its a great way to get stokcing fillers at xmas, or for raffle prizes, or quiz prizes. Every month they do a "sell off" this means they have a huge stock of many items and for a period of a few days they put up 1 item an when it goes the next goes up, sometimes they have 2 or 3 items of one thing, or they have 100's, and of cause it depends on the demand for the item for when this changes. (but this is only done once month) Sometimes they give freebies away with no charge whatsoever, or the only charge being the postage and packaging. Finally the last thing to really mention is the BOC - Bag of Crap. At theend of every sell off the last item is the BOC. It is essentially where hey have items left over, or 1 or 2 items that they couldn't put on the sell off because of the low quantity tc, and they ranomly make you a BOC up garanteed to be worth 1p more than you pay. Someone will usually get a high value item like an LCD tv or something or DVD HDD PVR Recorder (as my fried did), others ill get a variety of CD cases, speakers, ink catridges etc. I have had 5BOCs in my time there and 3 out of 5have been well worth it, with the one having an MP3 music system and other stuff, another having a top quality belkin laptop bag, and a few other things. The last was the worst, value wise it was good, but for me, getting a Wake Board and 2 inflatable dingies and a wet electric shaver was useless for me, but well worth £5, I will be sticking them on EBAY and recoop the spend. This is the place to go, they are getting new contracts all the time for selling off liquidated items, which are happening more often now with this recession. Never hurts to look each day whats on offer, its partof my routine 23:59 check boffer, then bed. There is also a Boffer sell off tonight if you want to see what its all about, Sunday 17th May 2009, well worth a look.
I first came across Boffer about 6 months ago. Its a weird little website, odd pictures and wacky descriptions of items for sale are then followed by the actual pictures and descriptions. They sell an array of things, a lot of their stock is bankruptcy stock, or last seasons etc. Prices tend to be lower than most other online shops, and products range from being pretty good, just ok, or utter rubbish! There are forums, with threads running for each individual item. Items appear on the site one item at a time, which is available either until stock runs out, or 24 hours have passed. Than you have the sales, or Boff Offs etc, where items appear one straight after another as soon as items go out of stock. These can be quite exciting as this is when you tend to be glued to the site waiting for the big goodies to appear and try to get hold of one quickly before they go out of stock. I have used Boffer numerous times since I first stumbled across it. One time was in a Boff Off, when everything was really cheap, or items were free and I just paid postage and packaging. I also just managed to get hold of my first BOC, which is a Bag of *ahem* rubbish....now with these you can either be very lucky, or you literally end up with *ahem* rubbish. I paid £4.99, plus £2.99 p&p. I wasn't holding out much hope of getting anything major as mine seemed to be one of the last lots to get dispatched, but when it arrived, as well as some other little bits and pieces, I had a brand new laptop bag, so I was extremely pleased. Staff are also very helpful, I had a hiccup with my account, so rather than emailing, you have to start a 'ticket'. It shows up on your page when you have a ticket pending and so is easy to see when it is answered. I found my problem was dealt with very quick and they were really helpful. Check out Boffer though, if anything its good fun!
I thought I had better come on here and explain my absence from dooyou . I have become addicted to another website called boffer. It is a one deal a day website that has a unique quality that I have yet to find elsewhere on the web. I first came across the site on moneysaving expert when they where having a sell off. The format of selling lots of bargain products over a 72 hour period and once the item has sold out a new offer takes over. So far they have had 3 of these since I became a customer. When in normal working mode there is one deal a day that begins at 11.59pm each night and they also run a fun quiz at 11.30pm where you get clues to guess what product they will be selling that night, if you win you get a t shirt. Other reasons to keep me coming back to them are the fact that they have discussion forums where staff are on hand to assist you with any questions you have or you can chat to other members whilst waiting on the offer to begin. They also give you your own profile to post your pictures and chat with other members or play games. My experience on this site is what keeps me going back for more, so far I have made 17 purchases from the site ranging from mp4 players, electric grills to some fun free products like a geyser tube and magnetic balls and some bizarre worm crisps. All items have been delivered in a reasonable time and I can't say I could fault the quality of my own purchases. Being a new site on the net I have to admit I did ease myself in gently by buying their lower priced items to begin with but once I was confident enough with their customer service I have never looked back. Much to my husband and bank managers dismay. The thing that wins the site for me is the fact that it is very addictive as you never know what they are going to sell next and believe me there have been a few strange items appearing amongst the usual electrical bargains. I bought a thing called a bag of c**p which basically is a box of items that you have no idea whether it will contain some great items or some not so good ones costing £4.99 although the one I bought in the resent sell off had gone down to £3.99. What did I receive? An ipod shuffle An mp3 player A belkin pc kit All items were in working order and extremely useful. Saved me a fortune as I am putting them away as Christmas presents. I shall be looking forward to the next one crossing my fingers to be as lucky as this again. I have made a lot of other bargain mad friends through the forum and I like the way in which when they go on to describe what they are selling it has lashings of fun and humour. I would say that the site can only keep getting better as the take note of their customers view points and ideas. It is aimed at adults and you can only be a member if you are over 18. I have become a fan in a big way and eagerly look forward to the next sell off which is where they will be giving all the items away for free. The site is easy to navigate and you can pay for your purchases through paypal or with your credit/debit card. One tip I would suggest is use your papal as its just makes it a lot easier and quicker as some members miss out on the major bargains as they have to enter in card numbers and the item can be sold out by that time. Well I am a happy boffer customer as you can tell and thought I would share my love for the site.
Boffer.co.uk is a newly discovered website for me, and I am addicted. It's a site that sells extremely cheap goods, for well below the reccomended retail price. It sells one item a day. They may have tens, hundreds, or thousands of each item and once it's gone, it's gone. The item changes every day at 23.59. Many people take issue with this because they aren't awake, and they say it sells out fast. Personally, I work nights, and I have had no problem when I get home at 5:30 with being able to buy what they are selling if I want it, and often the items are still on sale when I wake up at 15:00. So far I have bought 20gb pocket hardrive. This is a cross between a USB storage device (It's pocket sized and easy to carry around) and an External hard drive (It has a huge memory). I paid £15.99 for this and the cheapest it was available for online that I could find was £88. This arrived quickly and in the exact condition that it was described (New, boxed, and sealed) I also bought a manchester united 1gb Mp3 player for £9 which is on sale on ebay for between £25 and £40. The postage is £2.99, and even when the item they have been selling is a 26" Lcd TV the postage has still been £2.99 which is astounding. Occasionally they offer free postage, and other times they offer free items where all you pay is the £2.99 postage. The site is easy to use. The main page is the details of the offer. There are links along the top that take you to the forum, conact us, My account. To buy the item you just need to click BUY NOW, and login, or register if you aren't already a member, and then go through the payment process. The best thing about the site is that you don't have to pay with a card. They accept Paypal payments, which is so useful, because if you're interested in making money from the site you can easily sell on ebay, have the money go to your paypal account, and then purchase more stuff through your paypal account. This is great because you can see exactly how much you a earning, and your earnings can be saved, and won't get flittered away. Also, if you limit yourself to buying just from your paypal account (Which can be difficult as some offers are so tempting) you won't suddenly discover you don't have enough money in your bank to pay your bills.... Every so often they have a sell off, where for 72 hours they don't change the item everyday, but change it every time the previous item has sold out. Boffer are aswell always very honest about what they sell. One lot of TV's they sold did say they may have marks on from being handled. One item offered was 'A bag of crap - Which you may not return if you don't like it, to ensure this we are sending our customer service department on holiday for two weeks' This was the end of the sell off, when they were trying to get rid of alot of stock they had left. The thing is, two people who ordered a bag of crap ended up with a 26" LCD TV, for £5.99 plus £2.99 postage and packaging! The writing is also very witty. With every item that goes up they write a page underneath telling you about the item, which is always very enjoyable to read. I highly reccomend this site to anyone looking to make themselves a bit of cash on Ebay, or after some quality and cheap christmas gifts, or even a little something for yourself. Today they are selling Maxell Xtreme 16GB USB Pen Drive with Free Delivery. £15.99 Delivery: £0.00 (If you go to your local supermarket you'd be looking at a tenner for 1gb) And I'm sure tomorrow they will be selling something equally as good, for just as good value for money.
They sell complete rubbish at cheap prices one night, then the next night ok stuff at ok prices, other nights they sell good quality stuff, but at prices the same, if not dearer than other online stores. However, they have good customer service and delivery. Just consider carefully the product they have before you buy.
Boffer in general is an excellent source for cut price, Liquidated stock and clearance items, There are various payment methods in place including paypal (very handy) I personally have bought many items from them with no problems, Generally as described and in fully working order. Being honest i did have a slight problem regarding an electrical item lost in the post via Rm and unfortunately it was out of stock although i was refunded very quickly and efficiently by a friendly member of staff. In my opinion there are too many mp3 players on sale but in all fairness and in general the wide and varied range of goods is very good value for money. The boffer 72 hour sell off is a great idea for the bargain hunters out there but very tiring and the F5 key on my keyboard is now a little worn out. Go check it out.

Boffer is incredible! I have bought so many things in the last 2 months since it has been around. Cheap? YES! My Christmas is sorted and it is only October and I did it for a tenth of the usual cost. Even the freebies make great presents! The customer service is probably better than M&S. No kidding! There is a no quibble returns policy. But I was reluctant to let anyone know about it because I worry that the more people use Boffer, that mabybe things will be sold out before I can log in! So I only told my 4 best friends. They 'Boffer' every night at 11:59 pm just like the rest of us who are Boffer buffs.
Not bad, 4 out of 8 items I had to get my money back but that was a painless and easy transaction. If all the products were working and not broken it would be a fantastic site. I have a feeling its going downhill as the products are getting worse and the prices are no where near the bargains they were first having. There could be two reasons, they are paying too much for the product (unlikely) or the good deals are there to grab us in and now they chuck their expensive/not so good deals at us hoping they sell as that's where they make the most money. For a refurbished item, it should never be the same price as the new product from a shop. Even if it is £10 or £20 cheaper (comparing it to a £200 television).
I would highly recommend Boffer to anyone that is looking for a top class bargain. The daily deal from this company is always outstanding (even if that day's product is not for you!). Sitting waiting until 11.59pm each night is a real buzz. I have got to mention their fantastic customer service. It is absolutely second to none. The staff are among the nicest and most helpful I have ever dealt with. Every query or problem has been sorted out in the quickest time possible. All in all the whole process of waiting for the daily product right through to taking delivery of your item is spot on. Go on try it out, you won't be disappointed.
Well i think this site is fab dabby doshious. It has a good mix of crap and amazing deals. It keeps you coming back for more because of this, infact i think this makes Boffer. It has a better selection than CRAPITNOW and also has a popular forum thats full of nutters. Theres even one user in there with a stupid user name like Tatty Furby. WHAT the hell is a tatty furby?? one of those toys you find stuffed down the gutter after its rained for 30 days? Anyway i think the best user is Lavondys, hes always either drunk or on his medication. Watch out for Minx she suffers from mad clicker finger and is one of the mods. Moonfairy keeps changing her name from Moony when shes a Werewolf to Moonfairy when she's innocent. The whole boofer team are cool and will help you out.
