Disadvantages: Annoying search facility, unable to amend orders

I admit that the only reason I went to BOL was to earn some ipoints, and having been there once I probably won't bother again.

Where shall I start? The search facility is a tad on the over-sensitive side, finding absolutely nothing to do with Advanced Dungeons and Dragons but everything that was remotely connected with advanced, dungeons or dragons. The list was endless but nothing there that I was looking for, so a bit pointless.

Once I'd found the books I was interested in (The Green Mile for me and a David Eddings book for t'other half) off I toddled to the checkout. First time round I opted for the Green Mile and processed my order accordingly. But oh dear, silly me, I'd spent less than the required £12 to get £5.00 back on my ipoints credit card, so I decided not to be selfish and order something for the wonderful man in my life. On some sites you can simply add things to your original order, but not on BOL.com. Instead I had to go through the aggro of cancelling my original order and ordering all over again.

The site itself is fairly well laid out, but I found it to be quite slow. Whether this is down to my computer or the site I don;t know, but it was getting more and more annoying.

Postage and packing cost me £2.95 and there is an optional fee of £1.00 per order to have it all giftwrapped.

The fact that I can't amend orders, other then cancelling and starting again has put me off from going back again, although the prices are quite good.

Delivery has been quite excellent. The David Eddings book arrived on Monday morning - not bad considering I only placed the order on the Saturday night. Downside is that the Stephen King book is on backorder for approx 2 weeks.
