Shopping is a big hobby of mine. And to be fair, it can be an expensive one. This is why I am always on the lookout for a bargain. Boohoo.com offers lots of bargains all in one place that can be accesses from my mobile without problem. I am also pretty fussy when it comes to clothes so it is a huge bonus that returns are free to boohoo.com either by collect+ or through the post office with a printing label that they provide - so you don't even have to pay for printing the label!
The website is well organised and results can be easily filtered and refined and also can be ordered in price (lowest or highest first) which means that it is easy to see the bargains - which are plentiful. However it is true what they say - you get what you pay for. the items from boohoo.com sometimes feel a bit cheap made or don't last as long as I would hope - think Primark but online.
Boohoo.com rewards its customers by offering deals a lot. Sometimes they will offer a 'Golden Ticket' where every time you buy you get a money off or free delivery. Also, keep an eye out for promotional codes on the website itself. I always go for the free delivery option as, if I don't like it or it doesn't fit (which is often as buying online is hard to judge), it is totally free to order, try on, and return.
Overall, I would recommend boohoo.com for a bargain, but if you are wanting a top quality piece that will last you years, I would look elsewhere but pay more for the pleasure.
I used to use boohoo.com regularly, but then I went for a couple of years without buying anything from them. I have put a few orders in over the past few months.
It is often a website I forget about because it isn’t a high street shop and they have stopped emailing me their newsletters.
~ About the site ~
The website sells clothing and footwear. It is well laid out and very easy to navigate. There are a lot of different categories to browse through such as dresses, tops, shirts and blouses, coats and jackets, shorts, skirts, trousers, jeans, swimwear.. the list goes on.
The website has a good range of items for sale for example there are over 1300 items under the dresses category and many of them are available in different colours.
I have mostly ordered dresses from them, but over the years I have also purchased cardigans, shoes, skirts, tops, blazers, coats and accessories from the website.
Their items are quite cheap and dresses usually cost around £20.00. I have bought dresses for lower prices; £8.00, £10.00 and £15.00 and they have still met my expectations in terms of quality.
~ Service ~
Delivery to the UK costs £3.99. Next day or Saturday delivery costs £4.99. I never buy clothes with an occasion in mind so I always choose the cheaper, standard delivery and I have found it usually only takes a few days so I am pleased with this.
A few years ago I had to send some shoes back (that I’d ordered in the wrong size). A return label is included with your order so it is free to post items back, but they refunded all but £1.00 of the item cost, which was taken as an administration charge. I don’t think this is the best idea because damaged goods do not have an admin charge so it encourages customers to deliberately damage items that they wish to return in order to receive a full refund. Looking at the website’s returns policy I think they may have scrapped this admin charge now as I cannot see it mentioned.
My refund took a week or two, which is as I would expect.
~ Quality ~
I have found the quality of the items to be really good. The items are of the same quality as you would expect from a high street shop. I know a lot of Chinese websites selling cheap clothing are very popular at the minute, but the quality is higher than what you would get from those websites.
I have found both clothing and shoes to be true to size and to always look identical to the item that was photographed on the website.
They have some lovely designs, always available in a good range of colours. I got some fabulous holiday dresses a few years ago with some lovely floral designs and prints on them. It is an excellent website and it is well worth checking out.
I found out about Boohoo about 6 years ago and ordered some dresses as they were such a good price. When they arrived the material was very different to the image on the site and I was really disappointed. The experience put me off shopping with Boohoo until very recently.
I was browsing for a new dress and Boohoo was suggested by the search engine as one of the top hits so I decided it wouldn't hurt to look and I am really glad I gave the site a second chance! The range of products available has increased and there were some really good sales and offers on. The style of rhe clothes is mainly my taste and quite on trend. They definitely market themselves towards the young adult, female market. My favourite items are probably the dresses they stock.
The site was very easy to navigate and it is very easy to refine your search to speed up the shopping process. I have since ordered a number of items from Boohoo - most recently some swimsuits and I absolutely love them. Each cost an average of £7 which I thought was brilliant value and they have got so many compliments. The sizing is perfect and the material is a really good quality.
Either my first experience was bad luck or the store has really improved in recent years. Either way, it is now one of my favourite stores. Stylish, affordable clothes with a great range which is easy to browse. Highly recommend!
For all the people that live in London, they know how hard and exhausting is to go to Oxford street or even to a mall to do your shopping. I am very happy that I found out about boohoo and since then many of my clothing is purchased from there.I believe it is one of the cheapest online shops that exist and you don't have to worry about the quality either. Every time I browse their website I always find something that I would like to buy. The cheap prices and the usual discounts that they offer (10-20%) are few of the many reasons that made that shop my first priority when I want to buy new clothes.
I have been so pleased with every single product I have ordered from Boohoo and the customer service I received. You would think that because you are paying such low prices, this would reflect upon the quality of the product but you couldn't be more wrong!
Everything is of such high quality and is long lasting. I have stayed loyal to Boohoo for 1-2 years and I can say that it is getting addictive to shop from there as they always have new stock that is getting better and better.
The only drawback is that you can't try on the size you want to get; but all of the things that I ordered were the perfect size for me fortunately. There is a guide that can help you choose the right size for you.
I definitely recommend it, as I am a regular customer!
I started shopping from Boohoo 2 years ago and has since noticed a great addition of clothing on their website. These days they take inspiration from latest runway and designer trends. It is truly a blessing for fashionistas like myself who doesn''t want to break bank to keep up with the latest fashion trends. The quality of Boohoo clothes are okay, taking into account how much you''re actually paying for it. For clothes on average I pay 10 pounds per piece and 5 pounds for accessories. While their clothes won''t last you forever, it is definitely wearable and durable at least for the next couple of years. Sales are always on and new styles are constantly being added to the site. I have recommended and know a lot of people who shops from Boohoo, so add an item into your basket even if you are unsure to reserve it! Popular stocks run out quite quickly even though they restock just as frequently too. Dispatch is insanely quick, I once ordered on a Saturday morning and by Sunday morning my order was labeled as ''Released for Dispatch'' - I got my package on that Tuesday. They issue returns in cash, the office usually takes a week or two to process it. I would recommend shopping at Boohoo if you are looking for cheap, latest fashion trend inspired clothing. If you are shopping for basics, coats or a good pair of shoes that you''d like to keep for the next 10 odd years or so, invest your money elsewhere.
Whenever I'm browsing the net for new day clothes or an outfit for a special night out my purchases always end up at boohoo!
Their website is simple and easy to browse (also mobile compatible) with all their categories having a different section or tab.
The thing I love most about boohoo is the latest fashions! Whenever a new trend hits the high street you can guarantee boohoo have that trend already stocked! Boohoo prices are also much cheaper than rival online fashion brands and they don't compromise the quality of their items.
Each time I've ordered from boohoo my ordered has arrived on my doorstep no later than 3 working days (for example I ordered on Monday and it was on my doorstep first thing Wednesday morning) - much quicker than every other website I've ordered from. The returns process is also simple and easy with the returns notes included in your parcel!
If you do browse the website don't forget to search the clearance section for some brilliant bargains!!
Boohoo is one of the best online clothing stores to date. It had a wide variety of styles that could appeal to almost anyone no matter what kind of things they wear. I've only been using this website for a few months now, but everything I've received from Boohoo has been great quality, and everyone had complimented me on what I am wearing.
They had beautiful shoes, handbags, dresses, skirts.. Everything. I don't really keep up with the latest style, but whenever I go onto Boohoo, they always have things that I would love. If I was going out shopping, I'd normally go to New Look etc, but nowhere has as nice clothes as Boohoo.
Delivery is not expensive at all. I think to deliver to the UK it is something like £3.99, and if you spend over £40 it is free delivery, whereas other places you have to spend around 80/100.
I've been using boohoo for a long time now and when I first started using it nobody had really heard of it. I had seen it on a blog and since then it has really exploded (probably thanks to a huge advertising campaign).
It is an online-only clothing store which has recently started selling male clothing, but specialises in female clothing and accessories.
There is a wide selection of styles and products. I personally like alternative grunge/punk clothing (lots of black, spikes, skulls etc) and I always seem to find some really cool items on boohoo, but if you're not into that they also have beautiful floral items, going out dresses, high heels, pumps, jewellery, leggings, coats, skirts, shorts and pretty much everything! No matter what you are looking for - I would give boohoo a try as they more than likely sell it.
Even though I'm not someone to really keep up with the latest trends (my style has hardly changed since I was 15!), I have noticed boohoo is always up to date with current hot trends and does it quite well.
Boohoo are very good value in my opinion. Going out dresses are quite often under £20 for instance and everything is just a little bit cheaper than I would normally expect. I have never seen something on there and thought it was overpriced. They don't operate any proper shops so maybe that's how they keep prices low (in the same way Amazon does I guess). They also seem to always have a sale on with loads of items in the sale rather than just one or two of last season's leftovers.
Delivery is super-speedy. I always get my items way sooner than I expect which is great.
=Less good points=
I have found the quality of boohoo products isn't fantastic - notably the opaqueness of garments. I have bought a few tube skirts from them and every single one was completely see-through. The same goes for a jersey top I bought and a cardigan. All the material is very thin and so it also isn't very warm for winter clothing. You have to bear in mind, however, that these products are significantly cheaper than you would find on the high-street so I can understand the less than fantastic quality - but it is a shame! I have found some of the skirts to also be quite short, but the lengths are all listen on the website so I only have myself to blame for that one.
Secondly, the website is a pain at times. They have thousands of products and even when filtering down to EXACTLY what you want, you still have to sift through hundreds of items before you find something. I suppose this could also be a good point in the fact that they have so many items - there's sure to be something you want. Sometimes I get bored on page 18 of dresses and give up - maybe I give up too early and miss my dream-dress!
They also charge a re-stocking fee if you return an item. I can understand this, but it is a little annoying if something just isn't what you were expecting - asos don't charge you a penny. Everything else to do with returns was simple and easy.
Overall they have to get 4/5 - the quality isn't great, but it's really cheap and the website can be a bit of a pain at times. Quick delivery, wide-range of cool products means I will shop again, but if the prices were to increase, I'd have to take my custom elsewhere as the quality wouldn't justify spending any more.
I absolutely love boohoo.com, I recently ordered two items, a dress and a cardigan from them. The items looked exactly like the pictures shown on the website, the material feels great quality and they fit true to their size.
Boohoo.com is a reasonably priced clothes site, I find it a good website to purchase 'faddy' fashion purchases. They stock all the latest trends without the huge price tags you may find from other retailers.
For more basic, fashion staple items, the style steals section of the website is fantastic. You can get a huge selection of cheap items that you can mix with the fashion items for extremely low prices, usually under £15.00.
Whilst delivery is reasonably priced, £3.99 to be delivered in four working days or £5.99 for next day delivery and Saturday delivery, they often run promotions that give you free delivery if your spend over a certain amount of money, normally around the £40-£50 mark.
I'm a student and absolutely love the 10% student discount you can get from boohoo.com, it makes their reasonably priced items even better value (and makes me feel a little less guilty for having an online spending splurge!).
Overall, I would definitely recommend this website to my friends.
I always struggle to look for clothes to be honest. I can find it a chore to try and find something which suits my pear shape (which can be an absolute nightmare sometimes) and so buying online rather than trying on instores can make things more of a challenge.
I have had relatively good experiences as a customer at boohoo.com. I find their website very easy to use. The main categories are in a drop down menu at the top making it hard to miss things. Then once you have selected a category you can filter the results down further to cut out the products you are not interested in looking for. Eg you can filter by colour, style, size etc. You can also order these by best selling, what is recommended and the cost of the items in the search.
I find that boohoo has a large variety of clothing on their website. But not so much that it is completely overwhelming such as the likes of asos where it can take you nearly all day to go through the products available.
I find that I would say most of the clothes are aimed towards younger people but they also have a section now for men and children. Some of the clothes are slightly outrageous but you can also find clothes which are more conservative but do have a stylish edge to them. There is something for everyone on there and it covers a variety of styles.
~~~Purchase of clothes~~~
My clothes have always arrived in a black plastic bag with 'boohoo.com' written on it. Items are never padded but they always come in good condition. Each item is wrapped in plastic within the carrier.
Main issue I have had with boohoo is their sizes can be a bit hit and miss. However if you have the energy to return a product which I have done so in the past, they send you a stamp to stick back on the package and I have freeposted it without any hassle. I got my refund within about 2-4 weeks of returning it.
Recently received a dress and the stitching wasn't the best quality and the size again was a bit off. I however couldn't be bothering to return but perhaps if I lose some weight I can put it to use!
I also find that belts that come with the dresses are not of the best quality and sometimes I do think of the 'you get what you pay for' motto when it comes to some of their items.
I also find it a pain when I can get student discount and I can't often use it due to other offers being available that are worth a greater discount. Sometimes free delivery can be used as well but I do find the redeeming discount process to be a bit tedious. I'm often reopening webpages and using different combinations of codes to try and get the best deal which is very time consuming.
In conclusion their clothes can be of good value but I do find that I am more disappointed when I receive the products then when I first buy them as they are often do not fit or they don't look as good as they do online. However they are a good price and they are an easy company to work with as returning is straight forward.
I will be continuing to repurchase from them every now and again but I only do so when they have really good deals or I see something I really like the look of.
Just a quick sidenote their boots are of brilliant quality! So again like I say it can be a bit of luck what you get.
A few months ago I had won some tickets at work as I as colleague of the month and I had already bought a dress just needed a little something for over the top. I adore kimono style cover ups and was having zero luck until I logged on to boohoo.com. Here is my review.
The site is very well set out, with all of the relevant departments on the top bar in pink and then split out from there. I am a size 16 here as the clothes are cut fairly small and it he filter option makes it very easy to show just what I can wear.
All of the clothes are supported by a number of pictures so even though you are buying online you know them almost as well as if you saw them in a shop. The only thing you can't do is touch them! There is even a catwalk video option for some if them.
I am forever on this site buying things and looking to see what I would like next and have never experienced a problem.
Products and Range
I am a dress person, to me there is nothing better than something long sleeved either midi or maxi and boohoo do not disappoint. Due to my size I can't have all the products they have on offer. This is a shame as I imagine they lose some business this way.
Everything I have from boohoo is great quality and has been worn a number of times. I will eventually review those all separately.
Everything comes in so many colours too and I have never seen anything with 'out of stock' next to it.
The charge for standard delivery when I last bought from boohoo was £3.99 but if you spend over £50 it Isfree. I always spend over £50 so this isn't an issue for me and there are many promo codes online that can get you free delivery no matter what you spend.
The products could very quickly on this normally about three working days.
Are very reasonable and quite similar to the likes of new look and h and m with some things being a it more expensive but also some great basics. For example a maxi dress can be purchased for £10 at the moment .
All in all a great site but it does lose points for not having everything appropriate is size 16.
I usually travel for long periods of time, so when I head home, I usually celebrate with my friends and always want something new to wear. I have shopped at boohoo for about 4 years now, before they were famous. I still usually choose BooHoo.com because they have reasonable prices and good products out there. However, on most but not all occassions (I have ordered from them about 15 times) there have been items that are missing from the delivery. The delivery note never has any notes about the item not being there and I will usually just randomly get a refund for the missing items or I will need to call about the missing item(s). Neither of these are really acceptable. When ordering items online, I expect them to tell me when something is not available so that I can choose something else or know if I need to get this certain item elsewhere. When I have to email and use my own time to let them know that an item is missing, this is just extra hassle that I do not really need. I think orders should be checked better and for all the extra hassle I have gone through, they have never offered me any discount or refunds, which I think is expected seeing as this does not happen just once or twice but most times that I have ordered from them.
Having said this, I do like the products and believe that the clothes and accessories are indeed good value for money. I have received some items where I literally have to go back and check to see if that was what I ordered, but this is quite rare.
I think I will keep shopping with Boohoo but not based on their customer service but more on their products they offer and the prices they have. I do believe that they need to improve customer service but also glad that they have good reasonable pricing.
My daughter has used this site and purchased several items with no problems until she ordered an owl diamanté tee shirt. When it arrived she tried it on and immediately the diamantés were falling out of their mounts. She wanted to return the item so we contacted boohoo and said that it was being sent back. She packaged it up and using their returns label she took it to the post office and handed it to the post master. She did not think to get a receipt as proof of postage. I contacted the company the next week and asked if they had received the faulty item as refund had not yet been given. They said they had not received it and could I send proof of postage I explained I did not have this and they have continued to state that they have not received the returned tee shirt, despite several emails there response is always the same send proof of postage. This company have not been fair or tried to meet us half way. This faulty item was returned over a month ago and I have to say I am very disappointed at their lack of customer service. Please be careful when ordering it is exactly what you want as I have read several other negative feedback on review sites re this company I wish I had read them before my daughter wasted her money she has no tee shirt and no refund. I do appreciate she should have got a receipt from the post office but not much goes astray with Royal Mail. company have had no empathy and considering she liked their clothing she will not buy from them again following their treatment of her.
Having read other people's reviews about boohoo it just confirms my own just missed awful experience. I tried to buy a baseball jacket from them and had just got to the "confirm and pay" button when I noticed they had swapped the size I wanted - a Small - for a Large. Thinking it was a mistake I went back to correct it. After repeating this process several times I realised that the problem was they had no size Small in stock and so were trying to sneak in another size without my noticing. Reading other people's accounts of how they have no customer services and only e mails and how impossible it is to get your money back I feel I escaped this rotten company by the skin of my teeth. Be warned!
I have been shopping online with boohoo for quite some time now and i still love it like i did when i first heard about it. As i have been saving up to get my own house with my partner and a baby coming along too i cant spend as much as i would like to on clothes and i find Boohoo helps with that as i buy everything in the sale as stupidly good prices and even with a bump, normal clothes fit over my bump nicely even though they dont do maternity clothes.
Boohoo is definately more aimed at females as the main thing they stock is womens clothing, accessories and footwear but recently they have started doing mens clothing which i always look at for my partner as he hates shopping and the products they stock for men look really good and at a great price same as the womens.
I always find with Boohoo that they always have a clearance bit so thats where i always head first (every week in fact) just because i love to get bargains..even the full priced items are not badly priced at all i would say roughly around the same price as some things at New Look. When looking at Boohoo's website its so easy to find what you want with main catergories and then sub catergories and you can keep narrowing your search down with price and size or if you know something particular you are looking for you can write it in the search box.
When placing an order you do have to sign in and put all your details in but thats quick and easy to do, they also do delivery charges ranging from £3.99 to £6.99 but you just choose your option you want and i also find alot of times they offer free next day delivery if ordered by a certain time which is great!!
I personally love Boohoo and have never had to return any items as they have never been faulty, damaged or late so i would highly recommend.
