Advantages: nothing
Disadvantages: Cheap tat, poor quality. Rubbish customer services
Recently I was browsing on facebook of all places! Someone had posted a status update saying they had bought loads of bargains off BOOHOO.com. Being dead nosy and a lover of good buys I quickly got onto the website.
It loaded quickly and I easily found the sale section.
I thought the layout was really poor. It had kind of a scrolling list across the page.
My first impression was how many barbie pink clothes can one website sell! Luckily there are other colours available in most clothes.
I'm a dressoholic so that was my first category. Once I got through the tat and things that only promiscuous 16 year old chavs would wear I found some quite cute looking dresses. They fitted the current trends and the prices challenged even Primark.
I eventually decided on two dresses and a pair of jeggings. (Jean leggings for those that don't know what I'm talking about).
It came to £22 which I thought was an absolute bargain! Then £5 worth of postage was added which I thought was a bit steep but it is special delivery which comes the next day. You also get tracking with that.
I was emailed when they had my order and again when it had been dispatched. Up to this point all was good.
However the next day I got my bargains and they looked nothing like the photographs. The dresses were so poor quality I wouldn't even expect to see them on a chavy market stall. The jeggings weren't too bad but the stitching was loose.
The size were also so strange! I'm an average size 10 and ordered a large in my jeggings which I could barely fit over my bum. One dress in a 12 as it had a really fitted waist this I struggled to get done up! Then my other dress was a 10 but massive on the chest! Jordan would have problems filling it!
So I went online to investigate how to return these awful items and found I just had to pack them back up and take them to the post office for free returns. Great I thought but then I saw they charge you £1 per item for restocking charges! I'd be £8 down for some disgusting tat! I decided to keep one dress so I at least had something to show for it.
So off I trotted to the post office and luckily I kept my reciept for posting because now 8 weeks later I still have had no refund. This even after I've emailed them 5 times and they keep promising to refund me.
Never again.
Summary: Dont bother.
