Whatever you do people dont join Britannia they are the most unreliable company ever. Not trustworthy or even the slight care about your problems. About Two years ago We started a membership up with their Video Service because the offer buy Four Videos for the price of one sounded quite appealing.... Whatever you do don't join up with Brittania. I made the mistake of doing so and have regretted it ever since. They lure you in by giving you 5 DVDs for next to nothing, once you've paid for these though, you enter into a 12 month contract which means you must buy at least 4 more films. Refusal to do so means you can be charged the full price for the initial 5 DVD's Sure the initial offer is good, but once you actually start having to buy DVD's at full price they are some of the worst prices in the UK, and the selection is very limited. Brittania video sounded like a good idea when I saw their website. Buy 1 dvd get 3 free. I opted for 10th kingdom, Jack Frost, Holy Man and the Nutty Professor. I was looking forward to these and using the discount scheme. Where as a member you can get up to 50% off up to your chosen title. The other bonus is getting a mag each month with the latest dvds enabling you to keep your collection up to date. I thought this is going to be great. Brittania DVD club is an extension of the music club they have been running for years. How it works is that you purchase 1 dvd at a price of (£17.99 plus £3.28 for p&p) and you get 3 others free. This sounds like a good deal and in fact it is. Up to about £100 worth of dvds for £21 can't be bad. How can they offer this deal? I have been a member of Brittania for several years. They are prompt with their monthly magazine,send out the orders quickly and send reminders promptly. Since joining I had been dealing with them via the post, although phone orders etc. was an option.
