Advantages: IF YOU ENJOY BEING MESSED AROUND BEING TOLD EVER CHANGING STORIES THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU

Disadvantages: DISHONEST TO THE POINT OF NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO KEEP THEIR EXCUSES CONSISTANT

Having ordered a window regulator from Carpartswarehouse in December 09 due to the 2 year warranty (which was displayed on the site and confirmed when I checked prior to placing the order) it seemed to be a competitive price combined with a professional and consumer friendly company. Until after barely a year the regulator broke. When my friend who I had bought the regulator as a Christmas present phoned up she was told by a hesitant employee that it was out of warranty and had not lasted due to being used too much!
He also managed to add that the cold winter had not helped? Strange as we thought cold winters meant windows were kept shut both to keep the cold out and due to them being frozen in extreme circumstances.

When I phoned back to query the warranty the employee did not reply for sometime, obviously not knowing what to say.....until eventually he broke the silence to say inspite being called the carpartswarehouse having the same premises and phone number they were no longer the carpartswarehouse? So no denial of the two year warranty or attempts to say the window had broken due to being used or not used when it was too cold to use, but a total denial that they were even the same company. Incase you're wondering I had phoned back the day after the original phone call from my friend.

So to sum up the warranty firstly halved in length to what was originally shown on the site and the window having been used was the reason for it breaking....until the second phone call the next day where there was no reference to the warranty not having to been valid for two years, usage or a cold winter (which winters generally are in this country) being the problem but they were not the carpartswarehouse. Just using everything that related to them apart from any responsibility.

SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF TOLD VARIOUS STORIES FROM EMPLOYEES DON'T EVEN CONSIDER BUYING FROM THE CARPARTSWAREHOUSE (OR WHOEVER THEY MAY CLAIM TO BE WHEN YOU PHONE)

Summary: HOPEFULLY MY DISAPPOINTMENT AND WASTED MONEY WILL SAVE YOU MONEY AND FRUSTRATION
