Advantages: Some good savings to be had

Disadvantages: Order never arrived, customer service is a bit disappointing

I've had a catalogue account with Choice for ages, so one morning (around 2am actually) while I was up all night with a teething baby, I decided to have a look on the website.

I hadn;t used my account for about 18 months, so the first thing I had to do was change my address details. To log in, you have to give your account reference number and postcode. After trying for 10 minutes to give my new details, I gave up and rang the customer service line to update it.

Once that had been done, I carried on browsing and found a couple of things I wanted, so I ordered them. I quickly received an email telling me that my order had been received......but nothing since!

I've tried ringing the customer service line to find out what has been happening but they've always been too busy to get through to thr right department. I've tried to get into my account on the website but because of the technical difficulties they've been having the account service has been unavailable. So I've resorted to sending them an email to find out what's going on - and I'm still waiting for a response.

Apart from these minor hiccups, the actual site is quite good. You can enter the name of the item you are searching for and it'll bring up the search results, or you can have a look at the sales items on offer. The sale offers have been quite good and you can get some good savings on things - I was trying to order two ladies trouser suits for work, something that I normally wouldn;t bother with, but as they were quite reasonably priced I thought I'd have them.

The major downside to the site is that once you've entered your accoutn reference number, you can;t save it. So every time you log in you need ot have a statement handy with your number on it, or a very good memory to remember what it is!

All in all, although it looked very promising at first, I've been disappointed with the service I'
;ve received so far. This could of course be a one-off incident and every one else may get through it all without any problems, but I'm begining to remember why I haven't used my account with them for ages.

I think your opinion might be a bit more useful if you explained a bit more about choice itself. I have no idea of what it sells etc. Sorry to criticise.
