Delivery Nightmare (Comet.co.uk)

Advantages: None Whatsoever Disadvantages: Their customer service, delivery and call centres are rubbish I bought a Fridge/Freezer with COMET at the end of August 2006 and despite 4 scheduled delivery dates I still have nothing. The pathetic excuses of amoeba’s have given reasons such as “we forgot to put it on the Van”, “our computer systems don’t talk to each other properly” and, my personal favourite, “we were going to deliver it but we ran out of time, sorry”. I have spent around 4 hours on the phone and around 30 hours waiting in my flat. Whatever you’re thinking of buying from them and getting delivered, DON’T DO IT, I maybe unlucky but judging from the rest of comments this is the way COMET’s business is run. KESA Electricals Plc, owners of COMET, made £38.3m out of COMET in 2005/2006 it’s a shame these Chimps don’t realise they if their customer service and delivery were good I’d use them for all electrical goods.
