Disadvantages: you will never get your money back

My daughter likes playing SIMS 2 games on our home PC. So we went Comet to buy a PC on which she can play the game in her room. We explain to the sales person we need a PC that can play SIMS 2. we explain we don't need Microsoft works because this PC is ONLY to be used to play SIMs 2 and other games. The sales person recommends an ACER 5920G laptop.

Get it home and the Sims 2 game will not run.

After hours of phonecalls etc, we contact ACER who tell us " if you wish to play SIMS or any other 3D game, you will need a dedicated graphics card, either the ATI Mobility Radeon, or the Nvidia Geforce. The graphics chipset you refer to is known as shared graphics and cannot support 3D games".

Take the PC back to the shop (Comet in Apsley, near Hemel Hempstead ) and the manager "Paul" will not refund our money.

We will have to take them to court

Summary: don't expect any good advice from Comet
