Advantages: close by, large strores, convenient

Disadvantages: pushy sales staff, bad customer service, terrible after care

last week we went to comet and bought 2 base units a printer a digital camera some software and some accessories for the printer and camera - all in it was £1,900!! ok not a lot by some peoples estimates but to us it was a lot...and for this you expect things to work straight away right! WRONG we got home and found the printer had ink missing from it - at 7.50pm i rang comet and was put on hold at 8.05pm i got a recorded msg they were shut!

next we put the machines on and within five minutes one of the machines was crashing and crashing and crashing!

next morning i rang again and was politely told to collect my ink from the store - i was also told no we do not have that particular model in but they do have 50 miles away. so off we toddle - upon arriving they had to test it - fair enough but the machine worked and we were told to go home again with it - we refused and after half an hour of shouting got a new machine.

off we go again - we now have ink for the printer and a machine that works constantly or so we think.....the printer does not work now! off we go again back to the store - where they could not apologise enough to us and promptly replaced the faulty printer.

now when you go to comet they are always asking if you want extended warranties for things - what i really want is a good face to face customer service and items that actually work first time!

come on comet this is not the first time this has happened to us but we still try again and again to trust you - so trust your customers when they say something they have had less than 24 hrs is faulty!

Go on, sock it to those varmants, varmints or whatever they are, just sock it to them, we want customer service.
