Comet is an excellent site as part of the Kingfisher group of stores, Comet is an offline and online place to buy your electrical goods and appliances. They're great for several reasons, although, with everything, faults can be found with them!!
The good points:
Comet is a superb place to buy products because they have such a wide range of everything. If you go into one of there stores you will see an incredible amount of televisions (providing this is a superstore), hifis, kitchen products, cds, games machines and so on.
They stock different quality productsm in that they cater for the lower quality market - the less expensive equipment and brands (Bush, Alba, etc - no offence), as well as offering some really impressive quality stuff like Sony, Kenwood and the like - some really impressive designer televisions are available online, and everything in the stores are available online, although Comet won't sell all the video games and cds, like the offline stores do.
As a chain of Kingfisher, if you did want CDs and games then you'd head off to Streets Online - the same company as Woolworths and Comet etc. But Comet.co.uk has proven a successful online store - great delivery speed and well packaged items.
The presentation isn't fantastic though with a really boring orange and black on white layout colour scheme, but the font is clear and the search engine is efficient, with the following categories to look under as well:

The prices are competitive - you may find some cheaper products elsewhere, but in general it is hard to beat comet, you do get a good service - if anything goes wrong, and you can even buy cover online should the unthinkable happen.
It's a top online store.
