Warning: Don't buy anything from Comet for delivery if you expect any kind of customer service.
After ordering a washing machine from the Comet website, and receiving confirmation of the delivery date, I then waited all morning for the delivery, it didn't show. I rang Comet's totally mis-named 'customer service' department, and after over an hour and 3 people having taken my details and put me straight back in the queue, I was told that they had 'lost' my order. No apologies for this, and no attempt to find a new suitable delivery date for me, the nearest delivery date was the next Sunday.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to ring and cancel the delivery for the Sunday, since I couldn't be there. Again, absolutely no attempt to rearrange a suitable date, and eventually I decided to cancel the order. 4 phone calls, 2 letters and several emails later, they still hadn't confirmed my refund, and then they tried to deliver the washing machine on the Sunday!
Further phone calls, letters and emails later I STILL don't have the refund, and have had to refer the matter to Card Services at my bank to pursue a refund.

- 10/09/03 Hi and welcome to Dooyoo! This sounds really shoddy practice on Comet's part! To get higher ratings though, you really need to include a lot more detail about the site for instance and ease of ordering etc.! This is always harder when trying to describe a rotten company, but have a look round the site and also do a bit of reading and rating yourself! This should hopefully get you more reads and you'll get an idea of what to include in your ops! Don't worry, it's not as daunting as it looks! Hope this helps and good luck getting your refund! :o) |

- 09/09/03 I bought a fridge/freezer form one of their shops once. when it came it looked like someone had droped it. It was all dented and the glass shelf inside was broken. kim |
