“ Buy your contact lenses online cheaper directly from the UK. All major brands supplied. „
I've been wearing contact lenses for around two years now as glasses really don't suit me at all and I feel really self concious wearing them. I used to get my contact lenses from my local opticians but after they raised the price to an absolutely ridiculous amount I decided to take my business elsewhere and came across this website, which was one of the first results on a google search for 'contact lenses'. I was wary as I hadn't heard of the website before but after reading their 'help' page and browsing through the website I decided that it seemed like a legitimate website and I made an account so that I could make an order. Making an account was a simple process. All I needed to do was fill in my basic information such as my full name and email address. Once I had my account set up I used the 'pick a product' search bar in the left corner and was impressed by the amount of brands and products they stock. The products are listed in alphabetic order and I found what I was looking for within a matter of seconds. Once I selected the product that I wanted I was taken to a new page with a product description, picture of the product etc and as I was ordering lenses I obviously needed to fill in my details from my latest eye test for my right and left eye which was easy enough to do. I paid £31 for a six month supply of bausch & lomb soflens which is a shocking £18 less than my optician was charging, so I am very glad that I looked online and found this website!! Delivery (unrecorded, second class) is free which is great and worldwide delivery is a reasonable 5 pounds. Recorded delivery and first class delivery are available at a slight extra charge. I didn't pay extra for delivery as I was informed that my lenses were not in stock and would take around 2 weeks to get to me, so you can imagine my suprise when I got them 2 days after ordering!! They arrived in a secure cardboard box and the lenses themselves were in original, unopened bausch and lomb branded boxes. An invoice was included along with a free fridge magnet with the website details. All in all I am really impressed by this site. It's well laid out, payment is quick and easy and I am incredibly impressed with how fast I recieved my order. The product I ordered arrived securely packaged and there were no issues at all. I highly reccomend contactlenses.co.uk and award the site five out of five stars.
The reason behind why I picked www.contactlenses.co.uk............ I have been wearing contact lenses for 10 years now, but have recently being having problems with my monthly disposable lenses since swapping optitions. Having visited my Optitions to complain that my lenses were scratching my eyes after 2 weeks I was informed I could try another pair which would cost me £18 per month, I currently pay £16. Anyway after trying these new lenses I have experienced even more problems my eyes just keep getting dry. The Optition said my other option was to try 2 weekly lenses at £24 per month or Daily Disposabe which would cost me £38 per month. Well I am not made of money but I did like the idea of trying Daily disposable no hassle just wear and throw away and so I turned to the internet to investigate a cheaper option. How I found the site... I did a quick search in Bing - 'buy contact lenses online' and it was the first website that popped up. The site itself.... I was taken directly to a simple website where I had the choice of a variety of contact lenses : Daily Disposable 2 week disposable Monthly Disposable Silicone Hydrogel Coloured lenses Toric / Astigmatism Varifocal / Mulitfocal Contious wear Special effect Vial (bottled) Lenses There are also a list of lens type: Acuvue Bausch & Lomb Ciba Vision Coopervision Crazy Lenses Focus Johnson Now I am not sure what all the types are put I am sure that if you have a special type you will know what you are after. I went straight for the daily disposable ones to see how much they would be and was happily suprised to find that the prices varied from £13 to £28 or deals from as little as £9.66 now the prices here are per box (which contains 30 lenses) and you obviously need 2 boxes unless you have one eye with full sight that is. So for £26 I thought it would be worth ago to try out the Daily ones as I would be saving £12 on what the Optition had quoted me. At the side of each contact lense brand you have the option to click on either description where there is a description of the lenses you are buying and also costumer reviews on the product. Now when readin gthe reviews I think you have to take into consideration that everyones eyes are different and will react differently so just because it is great / awful for someone does not mean it will be the same for you. I chose to go with Focus Dailies lenses. At the bottom of the description they inform you that these lenses are repackaged by the following companies: Specsavers repackage as EasyVision Premium One Day and Boots as Premium Daily well I have previously tried Specsavers lenses without trouble so thought they were worth ago. I think the knowledge of repackaging is really helpful especially if you normally go to Boots or Specsavers and buy from them for a higher price, we all need the extra pennies these days don't we. So once I had decided I was going for the Focus Dailys I simply selected the power I need for each eye added them to my basket proceeded to checkout where I had the option of either being a new costumer or a returning so I clicked New which then took me to filling in my address and then paying. To pay you have the option of using you Visa / Mastercard / America Express / Solo or Delta card. I used my direct debit visa card with no problems. You then add your email address and a password to store your details. You are giving the option to save your payment details for next time which I don't like to do but its a handy function to have. Once my order had been processed I recieved a confirmation email. I put in the order at 9.10am and the next day to my suprise my lenses arrived now I think that is excellent service especially as I was not even charged a postage and packging fee. My lenses arrived in a cardboard box with my lenses packed inside. You also recieve your receipt and a label with a freepost return address incase you are not happy with your lenses. The back of your receipt gives you some doe's and don'ts for lense wearing which is helpful I have never had that from the optition. Overall I am really pleased with this website with the prices and with the service I have investigated how much the monthly disposables are and found that they are £14 for a box of 6 lenses so thats £28 for 6 months worth which I usually pay £96 for! So I am afraid I am going to have an upset Optition because how can they compete with those prices. I also like the sound of Continious wear as well they are priced at £17 so £34 for 3 months again cheaper than I pay now and you can apparently sleep in them. They are cheap enough to try and I don't get on with them I have not lost out that much. I give this website 5 stars it is easy to use, cheaper than the optition and a very quick service. I know some of you may be concerned about contact lense checks but most Optitions will give you a lense check with a free month trial if you go in and say you would like to try theres so thats that solved. The website is really easy to navigate it has all the information you need, you even have the option to just buy one pack at a time if you want to try before commiting to months of lenses. I like that you have the freedom to swap and change as you want and your not tied down to a certain brand. 100% recommended Also found on other review sites
I have used contactlenses.co.uk twice. I was recommended this website by a friend and when I used her email address as my referral link, we both received 5% off our first/next orders. I thought that this was a great introduction! One might argue that 5% isn't much of a discount, but it's better than nothing! I have ordered coloured lenses from contactlenses.co.uk twice, and am really impressed with their service. Not only - in both instances - have my lenses arrived brilliantly packaged THE NEXT DAY (!), but the website remembers my orders. This means that if I pick a contact lens brand that I like, I don't have to make any particular effort to remember their name/where on the website I found them - the website does it for me! They also remember exactly what you ordered, so you don't have to keep checking that your prescription is right. I have never had a need to use their returns policy but the friend who recommended the website to me has. All she did was place one reasonably brief phone call with the company, receive a returns number, post it off and then - as simply as that - a full refund. The lenses are all good quality products that you can find elsewhere for lots more money. I get coloured lenses for £6 each - that's £12 a month. When I was involved in Specsavers' lens programme I paid £10 a month for clear lenses - I find contactlenses.co.uk to be much better value!
Recently, I was toying with the idea of wanting to change my eye colour, and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted it to happen. However, buying in-store can be a costly process and, as a student, this simply wasn't an option so I had to look elsewhere for an alternative store. Through recommendations from friends, the website contactlenses.co.uk clearly became the best option. ~Features~ Admittedly, I'm still pretty cautious when it comes to purchasing things online, especially if the website looks like it has been slapped together in 5 minutes by a bored GCSE student. However, contactlenses.co.uk definitely does not look like this. It is extremely easy to navigate, with the different types of lenses you can purchase almost in the middle of the page, as well as links to the more administrative sections, if you have already registered with them. Likewise, there is a forum so you are able to hunt around on there to see which lenses might be better suited to your eyes. When you have selected which lense type you want, you will also see reviews on the same page and also recommendations from the website about other purchases related to your lenses (such as solution or cases). ~Cost~ For one coloured lense, I paid £6.00 so a pair would be £12.00 (monthly disposable coloured lenses), and this was the cheapest place I found them both on and offline. I haven't yet ordered any other type of lense from them so would be unable to give a list of specific prices, but from general browsing, the lenses appear to be generally cheaper than from your optician. Likewise, there is also the option to multibuy boxes of lenses, thereby saving you a couple of pound. ~Ordering~ This was surprisingly easy, much to my delight. I used my debit card, which was simple enough, but you can also order through Paypal, using a Cheque or Postal Order and even over the phone. The postage and packaging is also FREE! I love this as it means that the lenses definitely stay a low price throughout the purchasing process (spend over £120 though and it will be sent signed delivery). I ordered my lenses on the Monday morning and by the Tuesday afternoon they had arrived, so delivery was definitely prompt. After ordering, you get email confirmation and you are also able to check the status of your purchase on the website if need be. The lenses arrive in a contactlenses.co.uk box (shouldn't they use something more discreet?) with a confirmation slip of your order inside and then your order is complete. Simple! ~Returns~ Unfortunately, the lenses were not suitable for my eyes (no fault of the website I hasten to add- I didn't check the details properly) so I was in a position where I had to return them. For this, I simply emailed the customer services team with my order reference number, and when they confirm it is you/the refund is for an acceptable reason, you are given a returns sheet to print off and fill in. Returns are free as well, and you will get email confirmation of your lenses arriving back with them. The refunds take up to 2 weeks to go back into your account, which is quite slow in my opinion as they're more than happy to take money off you immediately, but c'est la vie! ~Result~ Despite my own issues with the lenses ordered (again, my fault, not the websites by any stretch of the imagination!), I would happily recommend this website to anyone who wants to order contact lenses. The service was easy to use, delivery prompt and the lenses are cheap. If you fancy trying something new then check this website out because you won't be disappointed. Thanks for reading and rating!
Contactlenses.co.uk It was after a rather big upset at my local Specsavers that I decided to stop my monthly direct debit to them for my contact lenses and find a cheaper and far more reliable source. After perusing the pages of Internet options that came up when I searched on "contact lenses" I found this site. The website itself is set out well and I found the whole thing very easy to use and understand. The home page, which greets you, has quite a lot of information to take in but one you have selected what you are looking for it becomes a lot less fussy. Because there are so many options from the home page i.e. to choose from what type of lenses such as one day, weekly monthly and so on as well as having a drop down box giving you the option to choose a specific make of contact lenses, I found it simple to look and see what was available by selecting my usual monthly disposable lenses. After selecting this option you are then taken to another page listing all the different makes and prices of the monthly disposable lenses. For this option you are looking at about fifteen different makes and prices the cheapest ranging from £9.50 pence and the most expensive up to £27.50 pence. This price will buy you three lenses for one eye (this is still relating to the monthly disposable lenses), therefore I purchased one of the cheaper brands and got three pairs for £20 because it was £10 for three lenses in one eye. The website gives all the information that is needed about the lenses such as what make they are, what water content the lenses have in them and of course gives you the option to put what strength prescription your lenses need to be at. Some of the lenses are only available with the standard radius and diameter so people with astigmatism will have to look out for the option of changing the measurements. You are able to buy different sorts of solution depending on what type of contact lenses you are getting and also able to buy new holders for your lenses to be housed in when you are not wearing them. Each set of contact lenses will have the recommended type of cleaner available and there is a link on the contact lens page, which will take you to look at the cleaner itself. You are able to log into the site and get a password and user name and this will be stored so that the next time you visit you can reorder your usual lenses without all the trouble of having to find them on the site again. Another great thing about this site is that there are special offers for buying in bulk and it appears that you can get some money off most lenses. The fact that all the posting and packaging is free adds to the cheapness of getting your lenses from this website. Now as I say I found the website itself very easy to use. I was able to create an account, choose my lenses and order them without any problems whatsoever. The delivery estimate for all items it between one and two working days. I ordered my lenses on a Friday and hoped I would get the lenses for Wednesday at the latest. When the following Friday arrived and I was still to receive my lenses I logged back onto the site and checked up my order. I found the status of my order was set to processing and finding a "problem solving" page I was able to establish that the processing side of things should only take a few days and that if the order did not say dispatched that I should contact the team by phone. I was dreading spending half and hour listening to some alternated telephone system telling me I was in a queue and I was position number ten. But the reality was that after dialling the number I got straight through to a human voice on the end, and a rather friendly and helpful voice none the less. I was told that unfortunately my lenses had to be ordered in and they should be arriving that very same day and hopefully will be shipped out to arrive with me on Monday. This however was not the case but I did receive an email letting me know the situation. They said that due to a clerical error not enough lenses had been sent to them so I would unfortunately have to wait a further three days for the order to arrive to them before it could be checked and sent out to me. I can tell you I wasn't happy at having to wait in total 13 working days for my lenses to eventually arrive but I was very pleased with the amount of good customer service that I received. It has been a long time since I have phoned a company and gotten through to speak to someone straight away. Then to receive a personalised email letting me know exactly what was going on and it being very apologetic too. I was amazed. The contact lenses are really good and the packet was small enough to fit through the letterbox, unlike Specsavers ones which I often I had to trek down to the local sorting office at some ridiculous time to collect. The lenses themselves are very good to and I personally prefer them to the ones I was issued with Specsavers. I was overall very impressed with both the website of contactlenses.co.uk and customer services. Together with the price and the product itself I really don't think you could go wrong with giving this site a try. I will certainly be using it again and hope that then they will be able to send my order straight out to me without such a delay. 4*s for contactlenses.co.uk
