Advantages: Different Products, Smells wonderful, Value for Money
Disadvantages: Delivery takes longer than the 14 days they promise
If you are a fan of Lush beauty products then you really should give 'Cosmetics To Go' a turn.
Based in Hastings they are primarily a mail-order company, which was started on February 29 1988. They have an "impassioned concern for animal welfare and the increasing demand for totally natural products" which is fab for all you vegans out there as many of their products do not use any type of animal derivative. All of CTG's products are vegetarian. Their products are also mineral oil free which makes them particularly suited to sensitive souls.
So what product to CTG do then I hear you cry? Well they no longer sell any sort of cosmetics (bit of deceiving company name then?) but instead concentrate on hand made soaps, bath bombs, shower gels & moisturisers. As I mentioned before if you are a fan of Lush you will know exactly what I mean.
I have been buying their products for about 5 year now and I haven't been disappointed with anything the bath bombs smell really yummy (especially the Vanilla & Champagne bombs which smell like the real thing) & the shower gels are really inventive flavours. My personal favourite is 'Lemon Melt' which is a lemon shower gel with cocoa butter chips & real lemon pieces in it. It leaves your skin feeling lovely and soft without any greasiness & also has a lingering peppermint fragrance about it.
It is also worth mentioning their gift sets, which come in a vast array of different themes, & are all beautiful presented in netting parcels, crackers and pot pourri filled crates. The best value I think is their 'simply the best' cracker. This is a HUGE cracker filled with 4 massive bath bombs for £5.00.
CTG will not be for everyone's taste (or smell). The packaging is not designer & the products are aimed at the fun end of the market. However they are super value (bath bombs are a £1 each & shower gels about £6 per 1/2 litre) so if you like something m
ore unusual then give them a try.

- 19/08/02 Good op but I would also have liked to know about P&P and the delivery you mentioned as a disadvantage. Presumably they have catalogues as they're mail order so what are they like etc.
