Ordered magazine subscription as a present for someone else in Feb 2009, its now August 2009, no magazines have arrived, the last email I had in May said they made a mistake processing my subscription, now they dont answer my emails and won't return my calls!

I have never managed to speak to a person there yet, only ever get answer machine, this is very suspicious!

Ordered a book showing as in stock with 24 hour despatch. A week later was told that it was out of stock at distributors and that they had no idea when it would be back in stock. Re checked website and the book still shows as in stock with 24 hour despatch!
Strongly recommend avoiding, or taking any information they provide with a large pinch of salt.

I purchased a 6 month magazine subscription for a present this christmas. After four months of waiting and many emails i have now asked for my money back as it is obvious this company is incapable of fulfilling my order. Do not use this company.

I recently purchased £162.02 in books from this seller in early October of this year. £12.00 was charged for shipping and handling. The books arrived very quickly. The books arrived poorly packed and damaged. I notified the seller's customer service and was asked to return the books via surface mail to limit their postage costs. I returned the books for a refund. The cost of the books was refunded, but not the postage. The seller informed me that they do not refund the shipping cost if the return is not a result of their error. I have just experienced the worst online book service in existence. I ordered a book from Country Bookstore 6 weeks ago and was informed at the time of ordering that the title would be despatched within 2 working days. Not true. Despite several e mails querying delivery the book never showed. As other members have said e mails are not responded to and you are left in the dark waiting & waiting until finally in my case I cancelled the order and went into ottakars the same day and purchased straight away.
