Advantages: Some hot info

Disadvantages: Yummy!

There’s no doubt that the subcontinent’s cuisine has spiced up our national menu to no end. But how does recent research suggesting that our bodies actually physically crave curry explain the ‘addiction’?
Well, because eating curry is an arousing sensation that gives us a natural high. Because they stimulate far more taste receptors than the basic flavours in traditional British foods, curries raise blood pressure and heart rate, giving us the physical arousal we’re hooked on. However, others argue that foods can’t be physically addictive. Perhaps they should do a little research in the Pink Rupee after closing time.

Increase in heart rate when eating a favourite curry:

Tikka Masala: 4.76
Korma: 9.64
Rogan Josh: 18.3

Aw, Brimstone, I'm so sorry to have to give this an NU. I read your excellent comment on Hugon's op on Hannibal - you should consider putting that up as an op! - and hustled on over to read some of your other stuff. But, while this is interesting stuff regarding curry, you don't say anything about the actual site currypages.com. Is it any good? What is it about? Is it easy to surf? Why do you like/dislike it that kind of thing. If you update your op let me know and I'll come back and re-read/re-rate.
