Disadvantages: Lengthy delays, Parcels never sent, Long waits on telephone calls

I ordered a new computer system from Dabs on 12 January and was informed on 14 January that 3 parcels had been despatched to me for next day delivery.
21 January. I had numerous telephone calls with Parcelforce to try and locate the parcels which had not turned up.

22 January. Parcels were officially declared missing in transit.

23 January. I confirm with Dabs replacements required.

28 January. Dabs confirm 1 package sent which I received next day.

29 January. Dabs confirm printer sent.

6 February. After numerous telephone calls Dabs confirm printer still at their depot.

7 February. Dabs confirm printer despatched. Monitor out of stock, delivery 15 February or later.

8 February. I wrote to Dabs demanding compensation for delays etc.

12 February. Monitor received.

14 February. Parcelforce confirm no trace of printer, it was not despatched by Dabs.

15 February. Parcelforce tell Dabs no sign of printer.

18 February. Dabs tell me Parcelforce have lost printer.

19 February. Send Dabs letter confirming legal action will be taken if printer not received within 7 days.

20 February. Dabs inform me printer in post.

21 February. Printer received but no cable to connect it to computer.

22 February. Receive cable for printer.

In total 41 days to get computer system and set it up.

5 calls to Dabs customer services each time in a queue for over 30 minutes.

Lost count of the e mails I have sent them and 2 letters.

Plus numerous telephone calls to Parcelforce to try and track the location of the parcels.

The money I have spent on telephone calls, the wasted time staying in for parcels never despatched, the loss of work through waiting for a new computer system. In the end I would have saved more money by going to a high street retailer, even though I would have had to pay £50 - £100 more for th
e same goods.

I would never use them again. All they kept saying in e-mails was Parcelforce have lost it, and sorry. They are the ones who never sent it in the first place. It was funny goods could arrive within 24-48 hours when they are asked to pay compensation or face legal proceedings.

Nice rant for your first opinion, but, well, um as they all said below it needs to be moved to the correct category.
