Advantages: Cheap and efficient service

Disadvantages: Don't seem to fit any accessories that you buy at the same time as your bike

Dalescycles is unsurprisingly a bike shop. I bought a road bike from this company's website a few weeks back now and I found the service very good. When I bought my bike they were offering a may day sale where everything was 20% which meant on that occasion their prices were very good. Besides this their prices seem to be pretty standard and roughly the same as other online bike retailers.

Given that I was buying my bike online, there were a few concerns that I had. Firstly I thought that shipping might potentially be a problem, however dalescycles handles this as well as they could. The delivery is free which is great and means there are no hidden charges when buying from their site. Within a couple of hours of buying the bike, they sent me an email telling me which day my bike would arrive and asking me to email them back if this was not a convenient day.

The bike arrived on the day they specified and it seemed to be very well packaged. My next concern was putting the bike together. Again Dalescycles handled this pretty well, putting all the complicated stuff together leaving me with a few things to slot in and a couple of bolts i screw in. Though it was not a problem since I had the parts, they did not provide suitable Allan keys.

My only minor annoyance is that I ordered a rack for the back of my bike at the same time. I asked them if they could fix this on for me however they did not. Other than this, I found that they provided a very good service.

Summary: A great service that warrants only the most minor of complaints
