Dan technology online

I have owned 3 different Dan PCs in the last 10 years and all of them have had no problems whatsoever. In fact my first ever PC is still going strong today with all it's original components intact! Service is exceptional - very friendly, efficient and fast, not that I've ever had the need to use their after sales support! Dan have been around for a while too, so there is hopefully no danger of them going under and leaving their customers high and dry. I know that Dan computers are reliable although I have only ever owned one. It was my first and only one which I bought over 6 years ago and is still going strong today, although it is getting a bit out of date now. And my PC is in use all day, every day. My monitor went, alas after the 5 year guarantee was up - about 6 months ago, so I bought another and I was back in business. I made use of their free, lifetime customer service when we swapped over to Year 2000. They also sent me updated driver software when I needed it. I have bought 3 Dan PC's ( over the last 5 years ) and been very pleased with all of them. Yes, there have been the odd problems ( where software doesnt quite work as expected ), but when I have phoned up, they have been very helpful. The packaging of the product is usually very good. In terms of support, the monitor to my P75 ( some years old now ) stopped working. I phoned them up expecting to be fobbed off. I was told to return it to the London office and was told the tube had gone. They then promptly replace it with a brand new monitor ( after 4 yrs of use of the old one ). Before you read this, as of September 2002, Dan is out of business. Considering the service that they gave I am not surprised. Dan is supposed to have a reliable service, and wonderful customer support. That is what the consumer council survey said, and that is what Dan advertises with the numerous letters on the wall from supposedly satisfied customers. My experience was quite different. I cannot complain about the machine I received. It all fit together well was easy to connect together, and seemed to run beautifully.
