Advantages: Incredible array of things at unbelievable prices

Dealextreme is a Honk Kong website that sells a wide range of gadgets at incredibly low prices. At first I was sceptical because everything seemed too good to be true- they seem to have some form of connection to the postal company in Hong Kong and are able to offer free delivery on everything no matter what the order size is. For instance I paid 50p for some new headphones to be sent over to England from Hong Kong.

This hits the nail on the head and the real niche of this site is the prices. Their prices are in dollars which unfortunately is not so god at the moment if you are buying in pounds however the price still comes out to be incredibly cheap. If you use Firefox, there is a good unofficial add-on that will convert all of the prices (using a current exchange rate) and so show prices on the website in pounds which is really useful.

The first order I made was small because I wasn't sure how trustworthy the site was. I was amazed by the delivery speed which given that it has to travel across half the world for free, was only just over a week. The second purchase I made took more like four weeks unfortunately however this was because it coincided with Chinese New Year.

As for what gadgets are on this site it is hard to cover them all- basically just take a browse and you will find everything from ipod accessories to throwing knives! As a little warning, don't expect anything of high quality and also there are one or two things on there of an adult nature that you won't want kids to see- although they are disguised somewhat.

Summary: Just check it out- its a treasure chest of things
