I love Debenhams, being able to shop online when unable to get to store is fantastic. The site has a good range which is well displayed and easy to navigate.

But they're not good to buy from! I was asked to update my details when I logged in before i place my order which I did. However when I ordered and received a confirmation e-mail it said it was delivering to my old address!

Their customer service number told me they couldn't check the order because their system wouldn't update for 24-hours. I called back and was told it was going to my old address, but was too late to cancel because it was being processed.

Apparently I should have e-mailed them when I got e-mail confirmation.

So my order is going to my old address. I don't recommend this site.

Debenhams.com is not a good internet shopping experience. Aside from well documented issues with stability of the site, things get even worse if you need to contact them after you have purchased. They completely ignore emails whether sent direct or via their site. Turnaround time for queries is supposed to be 2 days - I've been waiting more than a week and have nothing but two automated acknowledgement emails to show for it. AVOID!!!!

I'll start with the good - they do offer great value in the sales with 50% off lots of items (not just the rubbish) and upto 75% off some items and upto a further 20% off if you are a Debenhams card holder.
