Deepdiscountdvd does what it says on the tin. I came to the site after pricing several DVDs on the helpful dvdpricesearch.com and finding these guys always the cheapest. The site is American and all discs sold are region one so make sure your machine is multi regional before you consider using them.

The site itself is pretty slick although each page is so crammed with content that it can take a while to fully download. The front page, as always, is full of special offers although these are all quoted in US$ so bargains don't always jump out at you. The front page also has a handy search feature that allows you to trace your must haves via the title, actor or director. You can also do an advance search to find films you know nothing about! The searches are pretty good although the results are annoyingly displayed in blocks of five. I tried 'Lost' and got thirty-seven matches so a lot of page turning may follow. Obviously trying a few more key words can narrow the results.

Each match is given a large picture of the box along with a list of the talent involved. The actors' names are all links to pages with all their other films, which is handy if you can't remember the exact title of that Joan Collins film you are after. The site doesn't offer reviews or plot synopses but does give a list of those all-important extras.

The stock is impressive and I've yet to find a film not listed although 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' was back order only. The site also has loads of genre links, so if you fancy some War or Wellness/fitness titles you can jump in right away.

Ordering is easy using the familiar cart system. As soon as I made my order I got confirmation e-mail and this was followed by a dispatch note a few days later. Postage is free to the US only with my five discs being charged at a not unreasonable $11.95. My discs haven't arrived yet but the dispatch date wasn?t until 22/12 so no pan
ic yet. My brother has used the site previously and was impressed by the service and delivery time. Importing discs can attract customs duty so it remains to be seen if my experiment will prove profitable. The prices are excellent and by way of example my order was:

Add to these the postage and my bill was $92 around £65 not bad for five DVDs including two premium titles. The service this far has been excellent and I'll update on receipt of the goods. Certainly one to consider especially considering their ample stock and discount prices. All that and Eerie Indiana with the talking cash machine "Exxcellllent" as the Animal wouldn't say!
