As I work as in IT I make it my business to peruse the websites of PC manufacturers; mainly because it's one way to keep in touch with what's going on in the industry and I also do it for enjoyment. Dell are one of the World's leading PC manufacturers so, naturally I try to be familiar with their systems and practices. This ... Read the complete review

I love this store now, just had my new laptop delivered a brand new M1730 and it didnt cost me a penny, My old M2010 kept blowing graphics cards after 3 years of use, on the forth offered engineer visit I refused a repair and asked for a replacement... and they did it! Always take the 4 year repair or replace warranty, especialy on ... Read the complete review

I have purchased my last few laptops from dell and have generally been pretty pleased with the laptops themselves and the service. The customer support part of the company is probably not the best especially with call centres based abroad in India and there has sometimes been difficulty in getting the right support when problems occur. Dell is not ... Read the complete review

I've just ordered my 3rd laptop from Dell (over a period of a few years - I'm not rich!), and I really am impressed with everything about them. Their website, prices, delivery and machines are excellent - which is the reason I keep going back there for new machines. Plenty of online and high street stores sell laptops now, but I always ... I bought a new laptop from Dell in March of this year. It is an Inspiron 1525 with a white case and double memory. It cost me £356 and arrived two weeks after I ordered it. Dell sell computers and accessories on-line and you choose what you want to include in your build as you progress through the ordering process. For example, after ... Read the complete review

We ordered our PC a Dimension 2400 from Dell over the phone and everything from order to delivery was excellent including the well priced package. I think it was about £550 for a good specification desk top PC with a 15inch TFT screen and desk top speakers. Everything arrived as ordered and setting up the system was easy enough. My only real issue ... Read the complete review

Having used Dells over the years at work, they seemed reasonably reliable (except for keys which keep coming off my Dell laptop - minor gripe) and so I chose what seemed a good value machine (on special offer) on-line and ordered it (Vostro 400). Dell say on the website if the delivery address is different from the credit card home address then ... Read the complete review

I have recently bought a fabulous Dell laptop. I got loads of free memory, free McAfee security centre for three years, and the price was really cheap, compared to other laptops with the same specifications. However, the after sales customer service was arwful, and very stress full. The laptop was to be delivered three days after I ahd bought ... Read the complete review

Oh boy. What a reputation Dell have for outstanding customer care ... where was it when I tried to order a PC from them recently? My beloved HP laptop was terminally-ill. She was taking a long, long time to load up anything, surfing on the 'net was definitely out! My partner and my mother (both Dell fans) ganged up on me and soon I ... Read the complete review

I bought a laptop in february from this outfit, it failed in june (usb port failure). All the technical guys could say was ..not covered by warranty. The complaints team didnt even respond. I have ended up getting the repair done locally at my own expense. If you get one that doesn't break down then good luck, unfortuantely, mine did and the dell ... Read the complete review

This has to be one of the best computer companies I have seen. I do a lot of computing and have ordered many computers in the past but Dell is one of the best because of the prices they offer. In total I have ordered four computers over some years, back a few years ago they weren’t very good but know they are taking over. The one thing I like ... Read the complete review

UPDATE 13 MAY 2009 My family is still using the Dell computer that we bought in 2004. As we have had no other problems to report other than in the original review, we consider that it was a good buy at the time of purchase. The only other relevant fact that I know of is that Dell computers can now be bought on the high street as ... Read the complete review

I used to work in computer retail, starting out at an independent. From day one it was installed into my conscious that buying a pc from a big pc supplier was a no-no. Certainly that was true for some bulk pc retailers, they would sucker you in with low prices and loads of software but the parts were cheap and support was non-existent. That was ... Dell not only supply top quality, stylish computers and accesories but also provide realistic finance and comprehensive product support. Dells website is nice to navigate, however it would be nice to see the prices of products without having to navigate through several pages. In desperate need of a better PC, but with no spare money, I set about searching for an online retailer who could do me a great PC at a decent price and also offer me credit. I've been checking the Dell web site recently to work out which new laptop I want. www.dell.co.uk does have a fair amount of information. However, its inconsistent, and there are some bits of the design which are awful. I expect a WWW site like this to get me to the prices and specifications of the things I'm interested in with ...
