Ordered two matching duvet sets from Asda Direct on 31/08/11. Received confirmation email with details on it, including an order number and estimated despatch date to my local store for collection. Collection date came and went and no email, so telephoned the customer help line. After giving all my relevant information, all they could find was an order I placed in 2009 and apparently, this order was a 'technical error'! Having looked on the website, the duvet covers are now out of stock and as they were clearance, I highly doubt they will be back in stock. The only saving grace was that no payment was taken from my credit card. Will not be using again in the future.

Middle of August, I decided to order some school trousers for my son. He has special needs and is unable to do buttons or other types of fastenings on trousers even though he is 8 years old. Have used Asda reserve in store and photo service before and that has been OK. The Direct service is appalling, ordered an iPod and still waiting for it. In my account it says Fully Despatched which means absolutely nothing in terms of tracking where the order is. Called the help line, there is no option to send an email so you are stuck paying 5p / minutes for an 0844 number, spent 30 minutes in the queue so £1.50 bill to be told the goods are in transit and I can't cancel the order. I have no idea whether the iPod will arrive in time for Christmas. Slow delivery, terrible customer service, no email support, useless order tracking. Will never use Asda direct again, the service is as bad as Asda bread and fresh fruit fruit and vegetables.
