Advantages: Good prices, friendly staff, a lot of demo clubs on offer.

Disadvantages: Not great location wise

Direct Golf Uk is an online retailer of Golfing goods who also have 12 outlets situated around the country.

My experience is solely based on the Lincoln branch so I cannot guarantee that other outlets will be exactly the same.

I went to Direct Golf just to look around for something to do on a Sunday and to possibly look at getting some golf shoes (my old ones were rather worn out). I found there to be a wide variety of golfing goods available, not just clothes and clubs but lots of accessories. I found the staff to be very friendly and helped me with all my enquiries about the pricing and styling of different shoes. Eventually I did find some that I wanted but they did not have them in my size and were unsure of when they would next get some and so I was given the size up at a discounted price which was very nice of them and was not expected at all!

Most Direct Golf shops have PGA professionals on hand to offer advice as well as driving ranges and demo clubs so you can try before you buy! This will vary from branch to branch so is worth checking on their website first.


On the website side of things I have also found them to be a very pleasing retailer, they have all of their catalogue available online and sometimes it is cheaper to buy the item off their website than it is to get it in the shop! The delivery is fairly quick and if you spend enough you should get it free (knowing how expensive golf is chances are you probably would) After you purchase something from there you will be sent their monthly catalogue packed full of great offers that will appeal to keen golfers!

Unfortunately now for the negative:

The store locations are mostly in the South - East of England and the North - West so if you play in the South - West or North - East chances are you won't be able to make it to one of their branches.

Overall I have found Direct Golf to be a very pleasant way of buying my golfing equipment and I will not hesitate to use them again.
