I was shopping the other day for a special gift for my niece. On the internet I hasten to add as I am not one for the high street anymore. I really cant be bothered trailing around busy shops and lets face it if you shop online you tend to get better deals more choice and the coffee is free!!! Bargain. Anyway the wee soul was three so I wanted to get her an extra special present. She loves all things Disney so I went onto the Disneystore website to have a look. It was fantastic and I can honestly say I was on there for at least an hour.

The website is absolutely wonderful, it is so professional and to be honest if I had a fortune in the bank I think I probably would have bought one of everything on offer. Thankfully I only ended up buying a couple of items, and I hasten to add spent a lot more than I was intending too. Lucky niece!! There initially are a lot of flashing icons and you are greeted with some of the best known and loved Disney characters. The website has so many different items to click on and look at that you will need to be prepared to set some time aside so that you can look at everything.

If you are after a specific Disney character they have incorporated a very useful A-Z search facility so you can find what you require easily. When you click on the specific icon you will be met with every item of merchandise that they have available to buy in that particular range. For example I was looking for Minnie mouse items and a host of products became available on screen. Toys and gifts, personalised items, clothing and accessories, fancy dress related merchandise. The clothing items are available from birth right up to adult sizes. So you are sure to find something suitable for whoever you are buying for. The merchandise comes in a variety of price ranges for example it will only cost £3.50 to buy a sweatshirt for a three year old (personalisation is extra). Right up to £30 for a bracelet or a lot more for some collectible limited edition items from there exclusive range. Fancy a swarovski winnie the pooh for £120!! (I wish I had the money because its gorgeous).

All Disney character merchandise is available to buy on the website from the older favourites like mickey mouse, winnie the pooh, Donald duck. Buzz lightyear, toy story. Right up to brand new mickey mouse clubhouse, Hannah Montana, and their movie characters, Cinderella and sleeping beauty. It is well worth a look because there are really far too many characters to list here!! and to be frank owing to my age I actually was unaware of the existence of some of these shows.

There is a menu on the home page which outlines the key items that can be purchased on the website. These include, personalised gifts, for both girls and boys,accounting for toddlers as well as older children. Bags, plates and cups, towels and personalised toys. A fabulous range all in all. Then you can look specifically at either a section for boys items and toys or the one for girls only. Furthermore there is a range of baby and toddler related items, outdoor toys, games and puzzles, dolls and playsets. There is also a large selection of plush soft toys in all shapes and sizes portraying your favourite Disney characters. The dressing up section is wonderful and you can transform your child into their favourite Disney character for a reasonable price. Your dog can even dress up as Tinkerbell!!!

There are also sections dedicated to babies and toddlers specifically, clothing and accessories for all ages, you are sure to find something here the range is superb. There are home and collectible items. Dvds cds and computer games, electrical items and a great selection of stationary and books available. Finally if you really want to splash out they have an exclusive range certainly not for my particular budget however the items are lovely and contain some beautiful gift items. Well worth a look.

The super part of this website is that they have pocket money items so there really is something for everyone here and buying Disney merchandise doesn't have to be an expensive venture. Furthermore there is information regarding Disney mobile. The high school musical live stage tour and information on Disneyland holiday resorts.

The beauty of this website is that if you make a purchase they don't expect you to be a registered member of their site. Just add the item to your basket and checkout. You obviously still have to register your name and address details. This is a quick and painless procedure which takes only a couple of minutes of your time. Delivery costs £4.75 per order and normally takes five working days to reach you. However by paying a pound more you can have your order in two days.This is for UK mainland only. You can also opt to have your parcel delivered in an exclusive Disney gift box. This will be up to £2 extra depending on the size of your parcel. Delivery is between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday and a signature will be required. If you prefer though you can actually phone and place your order however I'm not sure why you would choose this option when you are online anyway!!

In my case the parcel arrive a day after it was ordered and in perfect condition. It was well worth the money and my niece was delighted with her gifts. I absolutely love this website and would definitely use it again and recommend it to all. If there is a down-side I would probably like to have seen some of the items in person however probably wise that I didn't or I would have bought an awful lot more. I have bookmarked this as one of my favourite shops now and cant wait until the next time I have an excuse to go online again for another birthday!! 5 Stars.
