Advantages: one off deals & discounts, cashback via cashback sites

Disadvantages: range and general prices, poor instore advice

I usually only buy from Dixons.co.uk if they have a sale or discount offer and are giving me the best deal on that product compared to online stores. It just so happened they had an offer on a laptop I had my eye on and not only that but a discount code and cashback were applicable too!

So I went ahead and purchased it. Dixons offer credit on certain purchases over a certain amount but they state that they cannot guarantee if your item will remain in stock while they are processing your credit application so I did not bother with the interest free credit option as I didn't want to miss out and the amount was not massive anyhow.

I received emails and receipts from Dixons confirming my order and the amount and estimated delivery. If I recall within 3 days the laptop had arrived and was in perfect condition. I had no problems with either the order or the item so Dixons were OK on this occasion. Having had a look at their website they tend to only stock certain popular models and the prices are generally quite high (although not always as high as comet). I don't bother asking for in store advice any more as I haven't been well served in the past.
