Dorothyperkins.com is the official website of high street chain store Dorothy Perkins and here you can dig through pages of clothes, shoes and accessories and potentially buy without leaving your home. Since I have hit my twenties I have found that I'm not really into fashion (apart from photography and reading about it) and have begun to slowly find my style niche; meaning I could happily live off eBay and vintage websites without the bother of high street stores. That said, Dorothy Perkins is one high street shop I have always visited and continue to do so every now and then. I always felt that their clothes were smart, classy and feminine so one day decided to take some time to look at their website with the intention of possibly buying a new dress, since the dress section is my first port of call on every clothing website! I was greeted with a clean website with a clear theme and a similar set up to most clothing websites. Prior to surfing the main home page a box appeared telling me that they ship to over 100 countries worldwide, alphabetically from Albania to the (British) Virgin Islands. At the top you have the different clothing drop down sections that include tops, coats, jackets, jeans, swimwear, dresses, suits, leggings, skirts, accessories, shoes etc. as well as the 'tall' section, the 'petite' one and a 'maternity' one; very much like the high street shop. You are able to refine your search by size, colour and price, depending on what you require. Again, like with the majority of these sites, when you find a garment that takes your fancy you can zoom in and out and see more of the item. The website also gives you recommendations on what you could wear with the item of clothing you're viewing. Once you've created an online account (simple process involving your personal and payment details) you're able to choose the size of the item you want, if it's available, and add it to your 'bag'. Just click on your bag at the top of the screen and it will let you know what you've added and the total price, thus far. So all very typical and simple. When I first ordered something from here, I ended up not buying a dress. Instead I ordered a small blazer and a white cardigan to go with a dress. I was happy as well that they accept PayPal! Once I received an email confirming my order after a simple checkout procedure, I waited about three days and my items arrived, well packed in a plastic bag. Dorothy Perkins do state that delivery make take longer should you be ordering from Northern Ireland or the Scottish islands. If you buy items totalling at least £75, then you're entitled to free delivery. Nominated day delivery is available at an extra pound; this includes the next day as long as you order prior to 6pm on weekdays and by 2pm on Sundays. So I was hoping the blazer would be nice to wear over a dress when I went on my next trip to London last summer. I just wanted the cardigan because it was light and white and again was useful with my summer dresses. When I opened the packaging I was surprised by both items. My white cardigan was cute and soft; however the back of it was cut far higher than I expected and was quite short. That said, in the summer it was not a problem and actually quite appropriate. It is not a winter cardigan though; it is just too thin, albeit pretty. The blazer was so different to what I expected, however. It was shiny and looked like something from a 1970s disco. It wasn't warm and felt and looked like scaly snakeskin. I'm sure that the photo gave the impression it was a smart daytime blazer and it just felt rough and the sleeves were too short; which says a lot since I'm petite. Nice to wear on a night out maybe with a dress as it is different and bright, but not something that I wear a lot in the day. There was something about both items though that didn't feel as well made as what you'd find in the shop itself. I like lots of the clothes in the shop so was expecting similar quality clothes from the site but it wasn't to be in my case. I just could not envisage these clothes, particularly the blazer, hanging up in any UK Dorothy Perkins store. Not a slight against the shop itself though as I really like Dorothy Perkins and the order process and delivery was absolutely fine from start to finish, so no problem with the website itself; I was just a little disappointed in the clothing quality in comparison to what I have bought on the high street, and I've bought a lot over the years from here.
HalloI visited my local DP shop last week and was interested in a 'stone oversize pleat blouse' in the Purple range for £15.00. They did not have my size and staff recommended I went online to buy one. I did but was shocked to discover it was on sale (same product) for £24.00! I contacted DP online by email and they said they could not guarantee the shop 'special offer' prices would equate with online prices. But, I said, it was not on 'special offer' or any other cut price deal in the shop. This is not a small difference it is £9.00...plus delivery charges.I returned to the shop to check it out again and sure enough the ticket said £15.00 (no special offer mentioned).Wow! Blatant rip off methinks...I recommend customers check shop prices before buying online and question any differences.
Dorothy Perkins online (and in store) have a great variety of good quality clothes, at reasonable prices. The website is easy to navigate and they will always advertise their discounts on the home page of their site - meaning that you will rarely miss out on the discount (however I do find if you trawl the internet you can often find more codes!!). Free delivery over £40 with a specific code which seems to have been running for a long time, and free delivery without a code on orders over £75. One thing that I dislike about DP online is that the postage is so expensive - £4, regardless of how many products you order. There is no option (unlike other fashion websites) for a cheaper/less fast delivery option which I think would be greatly appreciated by all shoppers, and I find that the £4 is more expensive than most websites, in fact I don't think I have seen a higher delivery charge, and I am often put off from purchasing from their website due to this factor. Which is a shame as I cannot get out to their shop due to health reasons so I often find myself going to their website and looking at jumpers and wishing I could order them!!! Online there are regular discount codes available and a year-round student/nhs staff discount, however unless you order a large amount of stuff I find that this is outweighed by the high delivery price. Over all, a good site with good clothes, delivery charges could be improved.
In a couple of weeks I am off on my holidays, which is quite a perfect time to be going because we are between seasons and this means I can get some summer dress bargains. I am signed up to the Dorothy Perkins email, and although I am not usually a fan of shopping for clothes online (I find sending things back a hassle, it doesn't always look like what you thought it would, I'm not one standard size, can't see the quality etc.), when they sent me the online only sale I thought I would just take a look in case there had been anything I had seen in store on sale. I have used the site many times before, mainly to see what is available for when I go into the shop or for inspiration, but I had never previously bought anything. The site is quite simplistic in black and white and very easy to navigate. The navigation bar offers a series of options that when you hover over them produce a more detailed list of which pages you can view. This makes it very easy to find immediately what you are looking for because the clothes are all sectioned into type. The only issue I found with this was that trousers and shorts were put into the same category. This was a bit annoying because I only wanted shorts for my holiday but instead had to trawl through pages of trousers (only for sale pages). When you click on a page it also allows you to filter through the type of clothing you have selected. So for example in "Shirts & Blouses" you can filter the products down to "Smart Shirts", "Casual Shirts", "Blouses", "2 £14 Shirts For £25" and "Sale - Final Reductions". Of course there is the option to view all the products as well. The only problem came with the sales items. The filters weren't so great. You could filter by type of item or by size. Neither of these really suited me as when I clicked on item (i.e. dresses) it had no size filter so I was constantly disappointed by seeing these lovely dresses at even better prices and clicking on them only to find they only have size 8 or size 16. This also made the site more time consuming to use. I also couldn't filter out the type of dress but that didn't bother me too much. The site also offers you a blog and a Looks and Features section, which offers inspiration and recommended pieces for the latest trends. My only criticism is that they don't get updated very often except seemingly at the beginning of a new season. In the end my online shopping trip was quite successful. I managed to get 4 dresses, one playsuit and a pair of sunglasses for £75 with free delivery (orders over £75 only). I was very impressed with the sale prices and 4 of the dresses were from the brand range. I even got a branded strapless, floral, tulip dress for £10! It was worth all the trawling through! The delivery arrived within two days. I did have a little concern because I placed the order in the morning and had an email in the afternoon saying it had been dispatched. However I waited a further couple of days before it arrived (I ordered on a Monday so no weekend days). However when it did arrive I was very impressed with the dresses but found the play suit to be of quite poor quality. However as I only paid £15 and can't be bothered to send it back I will use it as a lounging item of my wardrobe. Overall my shopping experience was good and very fruitful but I think they could sort out some size filters on the sale items because it would take much less time and half way through I felt like giving up. If I wasn't so desperate for holiday clothing I would have and they would have lost a sale. I would use the online shopping option again but probably only during sale times.
Dorothy Perkins just so happens to be one of my favourite high street shops, but as my local is quite small, they sometimes don't have the full range of clothes that other stores have. This is where their online site comes in handy. The site is very well laid out and is easy to navigate. On the homepage there is a list of different types of clothing, eg tops, skirts, trousers etc. Simply click on the item you're looking for and you will be taken to another page where you can narrow the search options further. I find this very handy as opposed to searching by size as I HATE searching through pages and pages of clothing to get to what I'm looking for. Alongside their normal clothing range they also do ranges for people over 5ft8" imaginatively called the tall range, a petite range for people under 5ft3" and a maternity range. As a taller person I love their tall range. The jeans and trousers are long enough and usually have a leg length of 33". The tops have that extra few inches that I need to make sure I'm not flashing any tummy, especially now I'm developing a bit of a baby bump! I haven't tried the maternity range yet, but when needed I will definitely be buying my clothes from Dorothy Perkins. Clothes are available in sizes 6 - 22 so there's something for most people. I have always found the quality of the clothes to be very good. I have jeans in my wardrobe that I've had for years and they are still in perfectly good condition. The only problem I've had in years of buying their clothes is a couple of tops that have become shapeless after a few washes, which I think is pretty good going. While the clothes aren't on the cutting edge of fashion, they do keep up to date with trends and the clothes aren't unfashionable. They cater for women of all ages and have younger styles and more classic pieces. The returns policy is very good too. If you change your mind within 14 days of purchase you may either return by post via a freepost label, or if more convenient you can return to any Dorothy Perkins store. I've never had any problems returning items this way and I thing free returns are a great idea as it means I can try things on in the comfort of my own home and if they don't fit, it doesn't cost me anything. The pricing seems to be pretty average compared to similar high street stores such as Next and in my opinion the quality is better. They do have events on fairly regularly which offer discounts or free delivery. Normal delivery costs £4 and takes 2 - 4 days or you can choose a day for delivery at a cost of £5 or £7.50 for Saturdays. I always go for the cheapest option and normally get my order within 2 - 3 days.
Dorothy Perkins just happens to be my favourite clothes shop online. For me it seems pointless for me to even wondering into the shop on the high street because there is more variety online. Also its extra important to me as I'm short in height and need the petite range very badly. I think over a couple of years now I tend to buy more clothes online than I do in the actual shops, mainly because I know the standard size clothes are gona swamp me or because of the lack of petite sizes and choice in the shops. Dorothy Perkins for me has always been reliable for clothes, I can be assured that the clothes wont fall apart and will fit me properly. I have purchased clothes from other retailers online but have rarely been happy with what I'v ordered, some being over priced and cheaply made just to fall apart. Dorothy Perkins is quality clothing. Dorothy Perkins has a maternty and tall range as well as a petite one. Sometimes I like some of the clothing in the standard range but know it wont fit me so well, I wish they would have a petite version of some of the clothes instead of something completely different in the range. The website is easy to use with a full menu at the side. I like how it includes a "New in" section so you can just simply view the new stuff they have in without having to look through the entire site. They also have a section for the latest looks and trends and how to put the look together. Pages are quick and easy to load up and search through without any difficulty. I like how they have added paypal as a payment option along with credit/debit cards as it means I can just log into paypal and not fiddle around with my debit card details. Sometimes I find the items abit pricey and really don't wana pay that much, but the best thing about Dorothy Perkins is the discounts they offer from time to time either through email providing a discount code or a discount promotion on the website. Sometimes the discount is not much as you still have to pay for delivery, so basically the discount covers the delivery cost. Delivery is usually in a few days or you could get it quicker by paying an extra pound on top of the delivery charge. They also have free delivery if you spend over a certain amount usually round the £75 mark. You can track your parcel online, they will inform you of when it is dispatched along with tracking information. Overall a good website to purchase clothes and accessories.
The Dorothy perkins website is very similar in appearance to many other online clothes sites. The site is very easy to navigate making it easy to find what you are looking for. From the homepage, you may click on any link from the menu to the left of the page and browse departments such as new inn, which are clothes and other accessories that have just arrived, brands and clothing sub-categories such as trousers, skirts, dresses knitwear etc. They also stock a decent range of footwear and I have found many pairs of shoes that I just had to have. I find the shoes are of good quality and the prices are very reasonable, obviously not the cheapest around, but certainly more affordable than many other retailers. The range of jewellery is pretty good also which makes it easy to find something to compliment almost any outfit. There is also a decent choice of bags and purses, other accessories like belts and swimwear when it is in season. I find the quality at Dorothy Perkins to be of a good, acceptable standard but sometimes I find that the clothing is a little too old fashioned and the "cut" isn't always great. There is also a maternity range for mums to be and a petite range which is designed for women who are 5ft3 and under, it's certainly great for me as being 4ft 11 can make it very difficult to find something that fits. The website is pleasant to use and loads quickly, and as well as allowing you to view the different categories with ease, it also gives you access to the latest looks and trends, great if you find it difficult to decide on something to wear or have trouble putting outfits together. Delivery is free on orders over £75.00 and will cost £4.00 for standard delivery and just a poind more for next day delivery which is very handy if you are in a rush to get your hands on something for an occasion that is coming up. If you are unsatisfied with your order, the website allows you to download an returns label and also givs the option of returning it to the store. Not a bad website at all.
This is a great online shop that caters for all your clothing needs, giving you great variety and choice. Dorothyperkins.com is for women and have great online tips and advice for shoppers, there is always a sale on helping you get more for your money. It can be difficult trying to shop in the high street or mall when busy, especially if you have children, online shopping makes it so much easier. For a start its cheaper, as you do not have to pay parking or bus travel, you can always rely on the sale online and in most cases get free delivery. Its easier because you do not have to spend hours looking for shops and clothing with your children moaning because their feet hurt. The payment methods are simple and I find it much better value for money. Dorothy Perkins clothing is fantastic in terms of its quality, they ensure that all the needs of their customers are met and provide excellent customer service, in store and online. Delivery - All items come nicely packaged and in the time stated. You get free delivery when you spend over £40.00 anyways, standard delivery is £4.00, 2-4 working days, Nominated day delivery is £5.00, next working day if ordered before 2pm. Although if you type in your search engine "dorothyperkins discount codes" you will most likely get money off codes or free delivery codes. Refunds - I have never had to get a refund from Dorothy Perkins although I did once exchange one of the items bought online in their shop, without any problems. Dorothy Perkins are happy to give refunds up to 14 days after purchase as long as you have your receipt and the items are in a sellable condition (unless of course the item is faulty). You can also exchange items, you can do this at any Dorothy Perkins store.
I have always liked Dorothy Perkins but thought it was a bit expensive (even more so nowadays), all that has changed since discovering dorothyperkins.co.uk! They have great sales and offers on which are not always carried through to the store. And even when the store does have offers and sales, it is mainly on things that you do not want or are not in your size, online there is so much more choice and so many more sizes so you are much more likely to find something you love. Another great point is that if you are a student you get a 10% discount - even on sales items! Almost every other shop that gives a student discount only gives it on full price stock so that's an extra bonus and can make for some great savings and even bigger bargains! Postage prices are also very reasonable - as long as you don't want to return the items. I was desperately looking for a pair of shoes last week and needed them sent via next day delivery. Most stores I looked in were charging at least £8 for this, while DP charged £5 (or £4 for standard delivery). The only problem with DP's is that they don't refund postage costs, unlike most other online stores. So if you are not completely sure that you like it or don't know if it will fit, then don't bother as you will end up paying up to a fiver just to try it on! They send you the item with an invoice and sticky labels in case you need to return it. You can also return instore if it is easier.... trust me, it is not! I bought a pair of shoes that had a few marks on them so I took them to my local store to return. When I got to the counter they said that I should take them upstairs to the shoe department. The woman at the shoe department told me to take them downstairs. When I told her that I'd just been down there she said 'well I don't know why they sent you up here, we can't do it as they're not our shoes' - what? Apparently the shoe departments in DP shops are not run by DP! So off I trotted back downstairs. One woman hadn't a clue what to do so sent me to another. The second woman took loads of details and logged everything into the system then asked me for the bank card I'd used to pay. I told her that I'd used Paypal and she said 'well, can I have the card then?'. I spent around 5 minutes trying to explain what Paypal was and that it doesn't use bank cards. I don't think she really understood what I was saying. She then said that she could sent the money to another card, I said ok and she gave me the total.... Minus postage. Oh, FFS! I gave up after another long winded discussion and decided to post the bloody things back instead! The moral of the story.... DP... online = good instore = not so good I would highly recommend DP online, if you like DP anyway then you will love the cheaper clothes, better and easier service and free returns.
I recently had a good experience with the Dorothy Perkins online website and so thought that I would share this with you. Dorothy Perkins as you probably know is a high street store that sells womens clothing and accessories. The store also has its own website, which is what I am going to be reviewing today. Dorothy Perkins is part of the Arcadia group and so you may notice if you have shopped at other stores under the group, the website is very similar to these. On the home page on the left side is a lift options that you can look at. These are different types of clothes such as dresses, tops etc. There are also sections for tall, maternity and petite. Also there are sections for accessories and swimwear etc. I like the way that these options are all on the home page as often I am just looking for a dress or a top and I can go straight to this section without having to sift through lots of pages of other clothes that you are not interested in. If there is a sale on this is also listed on the left hand side of the home page and usually highlighted in a different colour so you will notice it on the page as soon as you go on. I usually like looking at this section as I am always after a bargain and so the fact that it is highlighted is great at getting my attention. This is usually also highted by having a large banner on the front page so they are good at avertising their sale stock. They are usually a couple of things that you can look at also highlighted through pictures on the home page. These are things like items that have featured in magazines. I think that the pictures will attract you to items and so you will be more likely to have a look. As a whole the home page is attractive and colourful with the pictures that are used. It is not too crowded, the menu is kept nicely to the side. I also find it easy to find from the front page what I am looking for, without having to look too hard. Once you have selected the section that you want to look at you can click through straight to the page. This then will be likely to give you a number of options again like for example on the dresses page: going out dresses, day dresses, jersey dresses and summer sale. I like this as it means that if you are looking for a dress to wear out you don't have to sift through a bunch of summer day dresses. Again you just need to select the type of dress you want to look at or you can select all if you are more interested in a general browse. A number of pages of pictures of clothes will then come up. The pictures that are used are very clear and bright and make the clothing look very attractive. They are not normally on actual models though so it is not always possible to see what the item would look like on. They put a lot of pictures on one page so you can instantly look through and see if there are any items of interest for you. The only other information on this page with the pictures is the price. This is probably the main things you are looking for when you begin shopping. You want to know what the item looks like and if it is in your budget, you can then worry about the details in a minute. Once you have found an item you like the look of you can click on this to go to a page with a bigger picture and also more information. It also shows a picture of what the item will look like on , on some items. This is useful as one of the problems with buying online is that you don't get to try the item on and so can't tell what it will look like. This page also tells you the material the item is made from and the delivery options that were available. The sizes are listed that are avilable. All you need to do to purchase is select your size, which then gets put into your basket. The whole shopping process on the website is very easy and I think it would be hard for someone to get confused while shopping on the website. Once you have chosen an item you can still look around for other items to add to your basket. The delivery options on the website are not too expensive. I was lucky enough to get a code to get free delivery on my shopping. You can also get free delivery if you spend over 75 pounds. One good offer they are doing is that you can return items for free by post or in store. This means that you do not have to worry too much about items not fitting etc. Normal delivery costs £4 an order or you can get express delivery next day for £5 an order. I think this is quite reasonable and it probably is worth paying the extra pound if you want you shopping quick. The site seem to do a lot of offers. For example when I am writing this review they are offering 10% off for people who sign up for their newsletter. This would be worth doing if you are planning on buying something. They also do a lot of offers on their clothing such as two tops for 12 pounds. These are great for basic items like vest tops that you usually buy a few of. I managed to get a great offer on my last shop which was buy one get one free on two ssale items. They had already been reduced quite a bit and I then got one free, I thought this was a great bargain and it has definitely encouraged me to use the site again. Overall dorothyperkins.co.uk is an easy and attractive site to use. It makes your shopping experience enjoyable and has some good offers.
Dorothy perkins offers a lot of variety and gives women who are tall, slim, pregnant, petite a good range of clothing to choose for. Their clothes are also relativley well priced while still being at a good quality. Their clothing features most of the newest fashions while still being able for people to be independant and make a statement. Their online website does have a postal fee but they also have a system where you can type in voucher codes etc so you can still use vouchers you would usually use in the store. Their website is very easy to use and even people who are not great with computers will find it super easy! They have lots of variety in terms of types of clothing etc because if you were to go into dresses you have a selection of night, day, one shouldered, tunics etc and it catogerizes so it can enable you to narow down your choices. It is well worth a look!
I used to love this website but im going off it now. DP's are basically nicely made clothes are resonable prices. The website is nicley lade out and in separate catogories (e.g shoes, tshirts, knitware ect.) and is usually updated every thursday and friday with new clothes. DP has started selling new brands through there website as well as the shops. The clothes look very nice and you can roate and voom. However they dont give you a good idea of the size of the clothes. DP's sell theres in normal sizes (10,12 ect.) The new brands however are S, M, L ect. and gives no clue what there version of a small, or a medium ect is. The site size wise is not updated as well as it once was. In the clerance/sale part you can separate the clothes in the size. But most of these are usually sold out. The delivery is also not very good. when i pay for next day. i want next day. not 3 days down the line!!!!!!. However the bargins are v. good, The clothes are well made and bar the above it is a good site....just not the best.
Dorothy Perkins is one of the best known high street stores. Stocking clothes in sizes 6-22, for tall women, petite or even pregnant women. There's something for everyone, no matter what size you are. Great quality clothes at affordable prices. However, Dorothy Perkins isn't just on the high street anymore, it's also on the world wide web. - The Website - Bold, bright and easy to navigate, the website is sleek and simple. All of the various parts of the website according to what your shopping for, are laid out down the left hand side of the pages throughout the website. On the home page it also has little shortcuts at the bottom of the page, including careers, returns, gift card, terms & conditions, a site map and all the delivery information you need before purchasing online. Each section of the website is bold and bright, with pictures for every product. You can enlarge images or zoom in and out to view something a little closer. To the right of the product you want to buy is all of the products information, the sizes, and price etc. It's all laid out perfectly so it makes your buying experience a little stress free and easy to do. If you're not quite sure where to look for something, there's a big search bar at the top of the page where you can enter a product code or just the name of the product. It also shows just below it the items in your 'bag' (basket), a link to your account which you can use once you've registered and bought with them before. There's also a help section of the website which has everything you need to know if there's any problems. - What Do They Sell? - Dorothy Perkins has been a popular women's store for years now, and I love the place for it's jeans! I find jeans shopping a pain in the backside to be honest. Most women will probably agree that every shop has a different size for your body size. I'm a curvy size 16, but can't for the life of me get into size 16 jeans in stores like Primark, and River Island. But when it comes to Dorothy Perkins and some other stores, I perfectly fit into a nice pair of size 16 jeans and other clothes for that matter. Dorothy Perkins has everything that's in at the moment, and what's new for the upcoming season. From tops to jeans, leggings to coats. There's a separate section on the website for everything including the tall, petite and maternity clothes. Shoes and boots, bags and then onto accessories, jewellery lingerie and swimwear. The site has it all! There are always offers on, like 2 tops for £12 etc, it's best to have a look around the site to get a good look at all the bargains. There's so much online, I find it much easier than looking around a store. Besides, the Dorothy Perkins store in Crewe really isn't that big, so I find that there's always 10x as much stuff online than in my shop. Plus, the bonus is if you see something you like in the Dorothy Perkins store, but it isn't in your size, jot down the product code and head onto the website and type it in the search bar, that way you can shop for it online and chances are that your size will be in stock on the website. The clothes are all of good quality, especially the jeans. From skinny leg, to straight leg, flares to boot cut. There's lots of jeans to choose from. Even the tops, coats and lingerie are all of fantastic quality. The prices are reasonable, maybe a little steep on some special items, but it's totally worth it for the quality of the clothing you're getting. - What's It Like To Buy Online? - I've bought off the website 4/5 times now, mainly because like I just said, when I've gone into my local store and seen something I like and they haven't got it in my size, I'll head onto the website with my product number in hand and found that my size is in stock online. I found what I was looking for simple and fast. It costs £4 for delivery but it's worth it in my opinion. They email you when you've placed your order, and it's being dispatched. It took 2/3 days for my orders to arrive. On the website it states that they will try and get to you within 2-4 days. Express delivery is an extra £1 and guarantee's next day delivery if you order before midday. If you're in a real hurry for something I'd recommend doing this, but I've never been in a rush for something I've bought so just stuck with the bog standard delivery. I can't comment on what the returns policy is like online as I've never had to send something back, but I've never had any problems in the stores so I'm assuming its as easy to return things online as it is back to the stores. - Why I'd recommend It - I'd recommend anyone to go have a look at the Dorothy Perkins website, there's so much on there, probably a lot more than in your local store. There's also lots of sale items too. It's easy to navigate around the site, and even easier to place an order. It's a simple process that takes only a couple of minutes. Register with your email address and all of your details and they will keep them on file for when you next want to make an order off the website. Making your next online purchase even faster and easier. There's so much to see and choose from, everything is laid out for it to be a stress free shopping experience. I've never had a problem with any of my orders, and I don't mind paying the £4 for postage. I'd recommend if your wanting something quickly for a night out then you should pay the £5 for next day delivery, but do make sure to order before midday. I'd recommend you use the site if you can't find something in your size in store, like I've said. Jot down the product code and use it on the website to quickly find what you couldn't in your size in the store. A simple, quick and easy way to order clothes online. Thanks for reading and happy shopping! :)
Dorothy Perkins is quite a firm favourite of mine when it comes to both high street and online shopping partly because of their prices and partly because of their sizing. The website is well laid out and everything is sectioned well such as tops, jeans, trousers etc and this makes everything very easy to find. However, if you are looking for something specific then you can just use the search bar provided to search by product code or item description. The site is updated regularly with the latest lines and there are also sale items and last chance purchases available online so you can often find a fair few bargains here. The clothes are of very good quality and I always find the sizes to fit me perfectly (unlike some other high street stores/high street online websites) and there is always a lot of choice. There are regular offers on the clothing and I can always purchase some great work related staples here such as vest tops, smart trousers etc and the prices are very reasonable when compared to similar products from other high street retailers. Delivery is free if over £75.00 and is a very reasonable £4.00 for standard 2-4 day delivery to Mainland UK, £4.00 for 3-5 day for Northern Ireland & £4.00 for 5-7 day delivery to Highlands & Islands. Delivery is not available to the Channel Islands at present. You can also have next day delivery for £5.00 to Mainland UK (if ordered before 12pm), £5.00 in two working days to Northern Ireland & £5.00 in five working days to Highlands & Islands. If you spend over £75.00 then you will receive free standard delivery. If ordered on a bank holiday please allow one additional working day for all deliveries. I have always found the delivery to be either on time or early and have had no issues with goods not turning up or arriving late. A Dorothy Perkins card can be applied for online (subject to credit terms) and there are some additional rewards such as £5.00 free on first order, 20% on second order and a free £7.00 Jersey top on 3rd order (offers may be subject to minimum order). I have never applied for this card so I cannot personally comment on the service. There are a number of ways to contact customer service such as by phone & e-mail and I have contacted them by phone before and the phone was answered promptly by a real person who dealt with my minute query very promptly and pleasantly and did not make me feel stupid when I realised that there was an obvious answer to my question! The returns policy states that items can be returned within 14 days providing that they are in a saleable condition and the refund will be processed as per your original payment method so payment will be refunded back to your bank card or gift card etc depending on how you paid for the original order. Overall I am a very satisfied customer of the website and would highly recommend it. I am always pleased with the quality of the clothes and the delivery service. I am rating this website 5/5 as I love to use it time and time again.
Dorothy Perkins has long been my favourite shop when buying clothes for myself. I find their jeans are always a good fit and there is plenty of choice, with a range of styles to suit everyone. Their clothes are good quality and reasonably priced and I can usually find exactly what I want in this shop. I have always gone to the store itself when buying clothes, but one day when browsing online I decided to take a look at their website, and ended up placing an order. I have used the website many times since and prefer to order online these days rather than visit the store! The main reason for this is that there is more stock and choice available than in my nearest Dorothy Perkins store, but there are also regular online offers and sales. Sometimes there are items which are exclusive to online only and not available in the shops. The site is very easy to navigate with all the clothes, footwear and accessories placed in categories, for example if you wanted to look at tops, you click on 'Tops' and then a drop down menu appears with sub-categories, such as 'Going Out', 'Day Tops', 'Tees', 'Vests', 'Shirts' etc. You get the picture! After clicking on your desired category, the pages load up with images for you to browse. Click on an item you fancy and the image and relevant info/price comes into view. You are able to zoom up close on the item you are viewing, and also turn it round to view the back. If you decide you would like to purchase an item you click on the size, you are told whether or not the item is in stock, and you simply click 'Add to Basket' and the item is stored for you, whilst you continue browsing. Making your purchase is easy, after clicking on 'Checkout' you are shown your purchases, and you have the option to delete any of them before confirming your order. You provide your name, address and email details and choose a password. When making future orders you can then simply log-in to your account and do not have to enter address details etc again. Payment can be made by debit/credit card, your Dorothy Perkins store card if you have one, or Paypal. Delivery is £4.00 standard delivery or £5.00 next day delivery (for orders made before 12pm). However, they often have offers where you can receive free delivery, or half-price delivery. I regularly receive emails from them with these offers. Or there is a useful website called 'HotUKDeals.com' where you can search for codes for stores which give you money off deals or free/ cut-price delivery deals. You would enter such a code at the checkout when prompted, and your balance is amended. I find this very useful and it has also saved me quite a bit of money! If like me, you like to use cashback sites, then the chances are you will find Dorothy Perkins on the cashback website. For example, if you went on TopCashback.co.uk you will find you can receive 5% cashback on your purchases. I recently made a purchase after receiving an email from Dorothy Perkins offering me 20% off and free delivery on purchases over £75. I thought this was a really good offer and I also received 5% cashback to boot! You will find also that Dorothy Perkins do some great mix n match offers, such as 3 tops for £12, where you can select 3 t-shirts or vest tops in any colour or combination. Even if you paid £4 standard delivery, I still think this isn't too bad as it would cost me that to go into town and park my car, and this way I have the convenience of having it delivered to my door. I usually find standard delivery only takes an average of 2 days to arrive, which isn't bad at all. All items are delivered by courier. I have never used the next day delivery service as my items arrive quickly anyway. It is good to know that you can get something the next day though if you were in need of something quickly. Deliveries to Ireland and America are available but obviously the delivery costs and terms and conditions for returns are different for these countries. Full details of current charges, delivery times etc can be found on the website. Returning items is easy too, you are provided with a label in your parcel and you can return your item within 14 days for a full refund, or if your prefer you can take the items back to a Dorothy Perkins store with your despatch note for an immediate refund. I have done this myself, and never had any problems. The only downside to purchasing online is sometimes the colour or shade of an item may look slightly different, and of course if the item doesn't fit or you do not like it, then you have the hassle of returning it, but this doesn't really bother me as most things I have bought have been fine, and the money-saving offers I receive online, I would not have received had I bought in store. All in all the online sales, money-off /free delivery offers, combined with cashback from a cashback site, can all combine to give you a great bargain! Happy Shopping!
