Advantages: I bet they taste good.
Disadvantages: I will never know at that price.
Real English Cakes, soft, moist and definately mouth watering.
Sound yummy dont they?
Whats more they look yummy on the site I am about to tell you about "www.drchocolate.co.uk"
This website offers some gorgeous looking cakes from their own bakery in the heart of Englands Shakespeare country.
All the products on offer are hand made and if you decide to order one or two, they will be delivered fresh and straight to your doorstep within five days of ordering.
All products are sent out in special packaging,so they arrive in the same condition they were sent out in.
They accept all the usual credit cards, your details are made through a secure server to keep them safe.
Now a word of warning if you are watching your weight DONT LOOK.
On the first page you will be greeted by a simply mouth watering "Traditional English Cake".
Packed with plump fruit and topped with lots of cherries and the price is £15.
But I bet its worth the money,in taste alone.
Each of the cakes available have a photo of what it looks like, what the weight of it is and also some nutritional information.
If chocolates your passion, how about a huge slice of "Dark And Deadly Chocolate Cake".
They say its the yummiest chocolate cake they have ever made, priced at £16.
Then there is the "Chocolate Fruit And Nut Cake" at £16.
Here they have created a rich and distinct chocolate flavour by adding chocolate chunks into the mixture, the entire top is then smothered with a rich chocolate sauce.
Confession to make here,I personally wouldnt fancy this one it does sound a bit to rich and sickly.
But I would like to sample their "Traditional Afternoon Tea cake" at £13.50,or even the "Chocolate Afternoon Tea cake".
Again these are packed with fruit and look simply delicious.
If Marmalades your kind of thing, you might like to try t
he "Original English Marmalade Cake"priced at £15.
Now this next one is more like My kind of cake "Toffee Pecan And Pineapple Cake".
With it containing Pineapple its sure to stay super moist for quite some time.I have never been a dry cake fan.
This cake costs £16.50.
Last of all is the "Old English Spicey Cake" at £13.50.
This sounds pretty interesting,it is a gently spiced carrot cake which they say is only for the adventurous.
This site is definately not good for anyone on a diet or carefully watching their weight.
All the cake photos are perfect, taken so close up you can nearly count the currants.
They are so clear, they certainly get the taste buds going and your mouth watering.
The site is very simply set out,its easy to view the cakes and find out the nutritional information.
I think I am right in assuming they have conveniently ommited the calories per slice,so as to not put people off buying them.
As for the prices of the cakes overall,I am afraid I will just have to dream and drool,as thats as far as I go.
I suppose they would make an ideal special present for someone, but they are a bit to costly for you normal Sunday tea-time,oh well back to me faithful old Mr.Kiplings!!!
