Advantages: All entertainment needs under one roof. Good competitive prices.

Disadvantages: None.

~Our Experience~

My husband had requested the Carry On box sets as an Anniversary present. He had himself already viewed a few sites, basically the well known shops, but I thought I'd try to get cheaper.

Now I love my husband to bits but I still like a bargain, plus with the leftover money I could buy him a few extras he did not know about.

So I did a search and DVD.co.uk came up with the cheapest price. In fact it was £30 cheaper than some, quite a saving. Postage and Packing was free too.

The price search gave a direct link to the site but otherwise just type in www.dvd.co.uk.

On reaching the site I found the site was very easy to use. DVD.co.uk sell a number of items, not just DVDs. These consist of DVDs, music, Games, Books, Electronics, Memory and T shirts.

~DVD~

This section is pretty much as you would expect. Lots of well known titles at great low prices. Lots of offers and box sets and all the latest releases.

~Music~

Again as you would expect. blasts from the past along with all the modern music. At the moment they have an offer for four CDs for £4.49 which is pretty good in my opinion.

~Games~

All the latest computer and console games with a good selection of past titles. New releases seem to be slightly cheaper and this is a good place to go if you like extra gadgets with your consoles.

~Books~

Whether it is the latest novel or bestseller or simply something for the children you will most likely have plenty to choose from. Here you can search by either Author, title or ISBN number.

~Electronics~

A huge selection of all things electrical and the extras. Priner cartridges, MP3, iPod and chargers. all you could ever need.

~Memory~

All types of memory can be found here whether it be card or stick, plus plenty for your PC. Just lacking in ones to fit my head sadly!

~Tshirts~

I always wonder why this section gets thrown in to these types of sites but if you are after a top with music or TV connection then you have a good range to sift through.

Returning to the main page it shows you all the latest news and Offers. And listed down the right and left side side are The top sellers in each section and down the middle of the page are their own personal recommendations. On the left side you can do a Search, check your basket or log on. If you want to keep up to date with releases you can sign up for the Newsletter, which I have done and found very useful and informative.

As with most sites you will need to register if you wish to order. This makes it much simpler on return visits to the site and further orders. Registering is very easy. Just fill in your name, address and e mail details then choose a password. All Done.

I ordered the two boxsets, and a few days later they arrived. They were well wrapped and protected which was good to see.

Pleased with my purchase I have returned since and ordered other things. I have also tried out ordering products before their release and sure enough they have arrived as soon as released. When I ordered Finding Nemo, I even got an email to say they had reduced the price since I had ordered and so was even happier. Some places would expect you to pay the price on ordering.

~Prices~

The prices are very reasonable, and usually the cheapest. The only competitor I have found is Play.com. So I always compare between these two sites.
Added to the low prices is the fact that they tend to have lots of offers, particularly on DVD box sets. You will also find offer such as 2 for ?? or 3 for ??

~Any letdowns~

I think the only problem, but the same with most online sites, is that you can't pick the dvd/video up and read the info on the back. A good description is given however of any extras included on discs. It's probably best then to review something on the web first if you see an unfamiliar film before buying.

~Returns~

As I have not had to return anything I'm not sure if there is problems here but everything else seems reliable so I don't see why this part isn't.

~Overall~

Dvd.co.uk gets a thumbs up. The site is very easy to use, ideal for a beginner. Searching is straight forward and they do some good deals.

Summary: A good range of DVDs, Books, Music, and other items connected to Entertainment.
