terrible service from start to finish (dvdplayers.co.uk)

i ordered a dvd player from dvdplayers.co.uk and was looking forward to chilling out watching some dvds while on holiday. I ordered the dvd player 6 weeks ago and all I have recieved are empty promisses. When I ordered the dvd I recieved an email stating that the product was out of stock and how would I like to proceed. Ok this is good service as they have informed me of the current situation. However for hearon in it gets worse.

So I was prepared to wait a week for my dvd player to be instock, as I wasnt on holiday for another 4 weeks. Two weeks go by, and no dvd player, so I emailed them again, only to be told that they are still out of stock, and it would be another 7 days. Ok I was prepared to wait.

A week goes by and again no dvd player, so again I emailed to find out what was happening. When they eventually got back to me, stating that they had just come in to the warehouse.

Ok, so now I think ill get my dvd player in a couple of days only 4 weeks late.

So I wait and wait. Eventually I decided to look at my accont on there site, and it states that my order is in process, it hasnt changed to dispatch.

So another email is sent off, and again when they get back to me, stating it has now been dispatched. At this point I didnt hold much hope in them actually telling me the truth, so I checked the status of my order again, still no change.

Its now the end of the 5th week, so I email again only to recive an email saying that if I dont get my delivery tomorrow can I let them know so they can contact the couriers.

Guess what it didnt come, so I emailed again, and decided to phone too. They promised to phone me back as soon as they had some information. They didnt, just sending me an email saying that my order had been lost and now the dvd player is out of stock again, and it will be about another 7 days till its back in stock.

Was the dvd player ever dispatched, I doubt it, my order never changed from in process the whole time.

overall if you need a dvd player, buy it from somewhere else, dont wate your time with dvdplayers.co.uk, I asked for my money back, and a explanation as to why I got such poor customer service, but still no reponse.

If they valued there customers they could have offered me an alternative, or some type of sollution to the whole problem, but they dont care at all.

Summary: dont buy a dvd player from dvdplayers.co.uk unless you like poor customer service
